The food is delicious! We eat here at least once a week!
I had the sesame chicken and it was the best sesame chicken I have ever had. while it was different it was so fresh. it was an amazing Birthday dinner and the lady that runs the truck is super sweet and explains everyone well.
The combination fried rice was good.

Mom's Special Cooking is a cozy spot serving bomb food with good portion sizes. The lady running the place is super nice and makes sure to ask if you prefer spicy. Customers love the chicken 65 and salt/pepper fish and shrimp, which many call the best in Austin. The welcoming cook adds an extra layer of warmth to the experience. Authentic flavors shine through dishes like pad Thai and fried rice with chicken, all uniquely Burmese seasoned and just spicy enough. The menu features traditional dishes along with other Southeast Asian favorites, and the interior is decorated with traditional artwork. The atmosphere feels inviting and warm, making it a great place to enjoy comfort food that tastes like it was made with love. Notably, the green tea salad is a great discovery, and the salt and pepper shrimp are huge and delicious. If you're a non-Asian, trying the “Mohinga” is highly recommended. This delightful and heartfelt Myanmar cuisine experience is LEGIT!
