We had a really great experience here; our second time coming. Be sure to go on Wednesdays as oysters are 50% off and so are bottles of wine! We did review the check though because it seemed high and the Wednesday and HH specials hadn’t been applied, but they graciously fixed it for us. Their Nova Scotia oysters were terrific and sweet. So were the poke tacos, shishito peppers and the tuna & swordfish steaks both amazing. Great fresh seafood right in Hyde Park!
Monger’s Kitchen has a great ambiance — the decor is beautiful, and the adjoining market offers an impressive selection of fresh fish. Everything we ordered tasted fresh, and the service was friendly and attentive. The only reason I’m leaving out one star is that, for the price, the flavors could have been better. The crab cakes were a bit over-salted, and the entrées lacked depth. Still, it was an overall enjoyable dining experience and I’d come back for the atmosphere...
I visited Mongers over the weekend and I wanna say that their service, food, and drinks are amazing!! Seafood always fresh and the best quality in town. A big shoutout to our server Grisel she was very attentive and professional.
