This a review written from hanger, after a very disappointing journey downtown. We visited NADC on 6th expecting them to be open because of the maps info, website info, and signage out front. No lights. Closed. A man, who appeared to be busking, sits out front to tell my boyfriend he's being paid to sit out here and send customers to Parlor and Yard, for where they are doing a pop up until midnight(normal close hours). At 11:10 we arrive there to a young guy who will barely open the door. Says 'you come for a burger?' yes 'well we're closed.' no explanation. Of course lots of places don't have their hours updated but this was a wild goose chase that drove me crazy. Call first I suppose.... Im a hospitality nerd, working SI for a long time. I know things happen, I know sometimes stock runs out or theres conflict with the venue. However walking up to a posted sign saying open, with another man verbally confirming business, and not being served... That was wicked annoying.

I was pretty excited to try out NADC Burger's Kobe burgers, especially with all the hype surrounding them. I have to admit, they didn't disappoint in terms of flavor. The Kobe beef was juicy and flavorful, as expected. However, I was left scratching my head at the lack of traditional burger toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, or onions. A burger without these classic ingredients just feels incomplete to me. It's like having a sandwich with only bread and meat - kind of underwhelming, you know? And let's talk about the price. I nearly choked on my fries when I saw the bill. Two burgers, one fry, a coke, and an alcoholic beverage set me back a whopping $60. I mean, I get that Kobe beef is premium stuff, but that's still a hefty price tag for a burger joint. Plus, the place was packed to the brim with barely any seating available (like two tables) and bar seating). We were lucky to snag a table when we did; otherwise, we would've been stuck eating our burgers on the sidewalk. Despite the high price and lack of seating, I have to admit, the Kobe beef was undeniably tasty. It was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. But is it enough to justify a return visit? Honestly, probably not. The overall experience left much to be desired. Sure, the beef was good, but the lack of ambiance and the hefty price tag make it hard to justify a repeat visit. Sorry, NADC Burger, but I think I'll be taking my burger cravings elsewhere next time.

Would be great if the business cared enough about customers' time and accurately managed their Google listing to let folks know they are closed during normal business hours. Google listing says open at 11:30. Arrived at 11:30 to be told they weren't open and "might be open in an hour or so". Clearly someone manages their Google listing because they're replying to reviews. It takes 5 seconds to update that info. Employees were cocky enough to say "we'll see you in a bit" as though people don't have other things to do. In Austin for 2 days, scheduled time specifically to come here. Business can't be bothered to respect customers' time.Re: reply - out of towners aren't following or checking your social media, they're checking your Google listing 100% of the time.

This spot is a solid three and a half stars. I like that they only have one option for burgers, but if you're only going to have one choice for a burger, they better have every component be the best. I give the meat a 10/10, the cheese is American cheese (3/10), and the onions need to be caramelized (3/10). Lastly, they need to work on that bun. I don't want to grade the bun, but go give them a try, and I hope to be back in six months for the be-all burger.

I am grateful that the honor rep replied back so quickly. We’re going to try again tomorrow. And then I’ll update the stars :-)Drove all the way across town to get here and there’s a sign on the door not opening until two. Very disappointed, probably never returning. A lot of burger, places in town that operate under their standard hours as advertised.

Burger has quality meat that you can taste and a nice jalapeño relish sauce. But the burger is sooo soggy, likely due to the high fat content of the wagyu. Tastes good but for 17 dollar burger with “michelin star dna” they should find a bun that doesn’t get so soggy. maybe insulate the patty from the buns with lettuce or toast the buns so they don’t soak through as easily? go to golden castle across the street for better burgers!

Wagyu smash burger is great, but the twice-cooked fries put the meal over the top. The combo makes it a top 5 burger in Austin.Get one regular order and one beast mode and share with friends.

It’s mid. Overrated. Does not worth $17 for a burger.

Okay. So. While I'm a tried and true fan of Jew Boy Burgers, and while I also rate their burgers 5 stars, I can't deny that this is a great burger. I respect the small menu. The burger is the only main option on the menu, but boy do they do this one thing well. If you want a burger, yes, this is where you want to go. In fact, if you're going with one other, I truly think you'll be satisfied ordering one burger, with an extra patty, and splitting it. It is pricey ($16 + $8 for an extra patty), and therefore the splitting recommendation. For wagyu, yes, worth it. You can taste the difference, and that's even including the seasoning. Prepare for greasiness. Claps to NADS. Great concept. Open till 3 AM and of course probably exactly what you need after a night out on 6th. Don't waste your time anywhere else on E 6th if you're craving a burger.

Best cheeseburger I’ve ever had. Created by a Michelin-starred chef. Worth the $17. Low reviews here point to an accidental service charge added on during opening week, but tips are now optional for all customers as of 3/12/24. Cheeseburger was worth the price. Beast fries were delish too! I’ll be back here every time I’m in Austin.
