Lovely spot for a birthday lunch! I brought my parents for my dad's birthday this year, and visited again for mine this year!
This place was solid. I enjoyed the edamame, the sweet potato and the wagyu appetizers. The caramel dessert was great too. Would definitely come back!

Neighborhood Sushi is an amazing place in Austin. The food is outstanding, from the bites to the miso soup, crunchy salmon handroll, and fried mochi with great dipping sauces like strawberry yuzu, black sesame, and a caramel one. The port belly literally melts in your mouth, the shishito nigiri steals the show, and the fried ice cream is a perfect send-off. The service is impeccable and beyond excellent, with staff helping with the menu and making special occasions feel warm and intentional. The fish tastes very fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the atmosphere is cozy and romantic. While some note slightly better sushi options in Austin for the same price and a bit underwhelming cocktail menu, the experience is memorable and highly recommended.
