It sucks to write this, as I usually enjoy being there, but I went on a Sunday early evening (5ish) and not only was the food mediocre and the service almost non existent, when my mom expressed she had a food allergy the waitress said that there wouldn’t be that specific item on the dish. The dish comes out, and lo and behold that item is in the dish. After telling the staff it was remade by being cooked on the exact same grill with food that had touched the item on top of that. Thankfully the food allergy isn’t deadly, but the lack of care and concern over an issue that could potentially be deadly to other guests is incredibly angering. I used to love coming here every once in a while but I don’t think I’ll ever come back after my last trip. For the restaurant staff, please actually listen when someone has a food allergy or you may end up actually killing someone.

I have eaten here twice and tried several items already including oysters rancho, snapper, fried shrimp and catfish. All were excellent! The fried items reminded me immediately of the late, great original Captain Bennys in Houston. And for good reason; the recipe used here is same as theirs, handed down from an uncle of the current owner who had worked at the original Captain Bennys. The current owner has been there thirty years himself.I have lived fairly close by for over ten years but only recently stumbled upon this timeless gem! I’ll have to make up for lost time.Parking: Nice big shell parking lot.Kid-friendliness: I heard the definite sounds of children in the background.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wheelchair boardwalk entry into the front door and outside deck.

The waitress isn't even fluent in English. Ridiculous. Food was mediocre and forgettable.

The service never actually started. We were told to seat ourselves and then the server never came. We got some aggressive looks from another patron, so we decided to leave.

We had gumbo, a shrimp po-boy, shrimp cocktail, and crawfish etoufee. The place is adorable; old school third coast vibes like a seafood “shack” in Port A. Service was very friendly and fast. Portions generous!

Have always loved this place. Will always love this place.Service is unrivaled. Eaten thousands of oysters here and they have NEVER been off.If your not into raw oysters (the main event here) there are a lot of fried options, but don't sleep on the blackened and broiled dishes as well, the boiled crawfish and gumbo are also great.I gave 5 stars cuz it won't let me give 6.

Found the hidden gem that's 5 minutes from my office. Ordered fried catfish and shrimp platter, with a cup of gumbo. It was pretty tasty and not super expensive. Staff was nice, mom and pop feel. Surprised to see the reviews on here, but my experience was great.

This place deserves a 5 because the seafood is great, however, menu prices are all wrong on Google.Pacific star platter listed here is $17.99 but when you go in you get charged $25.99. Mentioned it to staff and no apologies or offers to make it right,Please make time to update if prices increased "a year ago" ?

My absolute favorite is the Crab Claws !! The catfish nuggets are plentiful and economically priced. I have had their crawfish boiled too. The stuffed fish is quite tasty aswell. You can't go wrong with the etoufee either . This by far is my number one go to for seafood.

Fish and hush puppies over cooked. Wasted money on 2plates that we couldn’t eat. Only fries were ok no seasoning or flavor. Needs to change the grease.Parking: Empty parking lot during lunch should’ve told me to pass it up.
