Nice ambiance but the appetizers were a joke. Don't order the lobster tostadas if you want an actual tostada. They literally were a very , very, small mini round corn chip with tuna salad like lobster mush on them. Total rip off. We were told we couldn't sit outside because it was reserved for another party. I reserved for outside yet we didn't get to sit outside. We stayed having drinks for at least 3 hours and there was only one couple that sat on the patio for like 45 minutes. The place was empty. Ridiculous. The waiters were good. Probably the only good thing about this place, sadly

Not very busy, drinks were served without all orders, forgot drink, took a long time for each orders, different servers taking orders made it confusing, comped drink was on tab. Overall wouldn't go back for the price value and service.

A place with so much potential for fun in the holiday season that is a downer because of how it's operated . We were late to our reservation by an hour since we were delayed driving from another city . They were right to let go of our reservation which we understood and agreed. But the person at the front desk said "they were so busy and completely booked" and that we could hang out until she tries to find a table. We went in to see that the place was more than 70% empty and made us chuckle at how she made it sound like they were busy . But we did not bother her for a long time sicne we were late to our reservation, we just hung out near the bar area and got a couple of drinks to while away time. More than 40 mins went by and when I asked her why we could not get a table when so many were Empty. She said they were all 'reserved' . I challenged her that when we didn't arrive at our reservation time she was right to let go of our reservation. She said usually it's 15 mins but she waited for 30 mins for us and then let it go. I said if that applied to all of the empty tables that I have been witnessing for the last hour we would have had a table by now. She didn't seem to understand basic math on how to manage table reservations or guests and kept turning away guests that were arriving even though there were 70% of empty tables. The decor was so beautiful, music was good, but the waiters and the front desk person seem baffled and overwhelmed and I could not understand how the owners were making any profits with this business. We ended up walking out after an hour watching empty tables and serving ourselves from the bar.

I had one of the best birthdays of my life with my family at Rules and REGS ? The staff was beyond amazing ?? they gave us free shots for my birthday ? and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend i really enjoyed it ✨

During my recent visit to Rules & Regs on New Year's Eve, I was disappointed to find the place closed for a private event. The festive decorations looked great, creating a lively atmosphere that piqued my interest. While I understand the need for private events, it would have been helpful to know about the closure beforehand. I missed out on the chance to have a drink on New Year's Eve at Rules & Regs (went down to Fulton which was really festive too), but the decorations were appealing, and I plan to return soon. I just hope they haven't taken down the festive setup by then.

This was such an amazing experience for my birthday! Shout out to Jazz at the hostess stand for making it super special and ensuring that we had an absolute phenomenal time. Run, don't walk, to check them out before it is gone until next year!!!

Hostess was pleasant and when I arrived for a drink with no reservation seated me on the patio with a lovely view. However it was a little cold as no heat lamps so moved inside. Inside has such lovely festive decor as a holiday pop up bar and great Christmas music. It really was a festive, fun atmosphere. Service was a little slow but my waitress Ava was lovely and friendly. Really enjoyed a happy hour holiday cocktail here and it really got me in the Christmas mood. Lovely place to go alone or with others for a festive drink, I would love to return and would definitely reccomend.

The pop up bar inside was very cutely decorated. However, I was on the balcony and it was very cold. No space heaters and no decorations. Kind of felt like the bad kids in the corner. Our waiter only checked on us once so we only got one drink and had to walk up front to pay.

Ambiance was good. The service and food however were mediocre. According to our server the kitchen was very behind, we waited about an hour to get our food. However, the Jalapeño poppers and tamales were good.

I went for happy hour which meant 50% bites and holiday drinks. That alone made the experience worth it. The staff however sealed the deal. Especially the ladies that were manning the door. They were very friendly and personable and made the experience all the better.

Ditched our ugly sweaters but didn't miss out on the festive fun at the Ugly Sweater, pop-up bar on the Fairmonts 7th floor, and let me tell you, it is a Christmas explosion like no other! Although we skipped the dining, we dove headfirst into the holiday spirit with some seriously jolly cocktail. The “Santa's kick” and “Resting Grinch Face” were instant faves! So much creative magic with holiday vibes. The ambience was a festive dream. Presents hung from the ceiling, and the Christmas tunes were perfectly synced with the twinkling lights, it was like a holiday show while we sipped. The whole set up had us feeling the Christmas magic. Even without our ugly sweaters, the ugly sweater pop-up bar at the Fairmont is a holiday hotspot that's a must visit whether you're into fun cocktails, festive decor or just soaking up the seasonal joy, this place is a total win! Can't wait to make it a yearly tradition! ????

The bar was decorated perfectly for Christmas. The drinks were good and festive. I guess I need to get used to the fact that Austin is now a $20 per drink town. The appetizers were ok. We had the Baked Brie and the jalapeño poppers. it was a bit of a struggle to find the Brie hiding under all the dough, but the jalapeños were tasty. Fun to grab a drink and get in the holiday mood.

Service was terrible. Reservation for 9 people, were probably one of 5 tables at the time in the whole place, they obviously knew we were coming because of the reservation, and still took a good 20min to get first round of drinks and only got worse after that as more tables arrived.
