Taste of Ethiopia II

I went earlier for dinner, and the food and service were both great! They explained each dish and they were all wonderful. We got the minchet abish as an appetizer and the ultimate combo for two with potatoes. The eggplant wot and the stewed potatoes were my favorites! I don’t usually like green beans, but they were very good here. We had a great conversation with our server at the end of the meal and had a wonderful time.

Omg this is lowkey the best restaurant in Austin!! The service, the taste, the texture! Wow wow wow!!!! We got the #1 meat (lamb) and the veggie combo and it was SO FREAKING AMAZING I CANT EVEN!! The service was all smiles and extremely great. Delicious!! Will be coming back again

Delicious Ethiopian food! We tried the Awaze tibs, Zilzil tibs and veg platter as well as the spiced tea. The staff were very hospitable and the food was fresh and flavorful. Our family of 4 including our teen kids enthusiastically devoured the entire meal.

This place was so good before CV19. They had great food and the buffet was so much better. Now they are never open and refuse to open doors before noon. And the buffet has very little meat on it and it's always empty. If you order coffee it takes 20 minutes. There's no reason to eat here anymore. Habesha is only 10 minutes North. Eat there. Better food. Better service. Better portions and better prices.

Every time i visit Austin i come here. Always treated well and food is delicious.

The waitress was so sweet and an AMAZING host, the food was delectable— I went with my two siblings and we enjoyed everything. It was very calm and peaceful definitely coming back again, maybe with some other friends too!

The food was very disappointing and had no flavor. The costumer service was poor and unwelcoming. I would not recommend this place based on my visit.

Very nice lady took care of us and I felt as though I was invited into someone’s home, not just a restaurant. I think they could benefit from music because it was a little silent when we walked in nonetheless, our server truly showed the best service I have ever had in Austin. Bravo!

The most authentic Ethiopian food I have ever had. Meredith our server was absolutely hilarious and adorable. ☺️ she reminds me of my good friend Mulu who fed me Ethiopian food in high school. Meredith is very generous and if she likes you, she will give you tea. The food was delicious and reminded me of home. Very clean and well decorated.

I took my husband here today and walked away with the best dining experience I’ve had in a while. The restaurant is quiet and calm with just amazing wait staff. The owner is so sweet and personable. There was a lot to choose from on the menu so we asked for their recommendations and they did not disappoint! Everything they recommended was great! I never felt rushed or pressured into getting something I didn’t want. I can’t wait to come back again!
