My nephew wanted to try Ethiopian food, so we found ourselves here while in Austin. The food was good. It was better than the first time I tried Ethiopian food in Houston. I think the part that you have to get used to is the bread. You use the bread to scoop up your bites of food. The bread itself is different than anything you have had. I love this place. Delicious and filling ethiopian dishes with great food-sharing experiences. However, my friends and I returned for the third time this weekend, the dishes were less spectacular, especially the beef and lamb entrees are not as well-seasoned/marinated. They use significantly less spice and so the dishes were less flavorful than before. While my white friends like them, I’d prefer more spices and better marinated food.
Absolutely delicious and flavorful food with friendly service. We had the vegetarian sampler platter, the #1 lamb and the #4 chicken. Loved chatting with the lovely and vibrant Miriam :)
