A truly gift-like place. The leaves on the long branches of the oak tree extending downward block out the sunlight, giving it a cozy feeling. It's a great place to come in mid-November when the sun is shining and the wind is cool in Austin.
On Saturday afternoon, many people leisurely come out, park their cars in front of the store, and enjoy a meal. Eating a simple sandwich alone or having brunch with family are good options.

Not what I expected. A tiny Avacado Tartine and a latte total almost $20. The avocado topping is pretty tasty, but the toast is so hard, even after I tore it apart before bitting, it still hurt my mouth. And with a food truck in a yard setting, ordering at a folding table, the only service is that my toast was brought to me. The customers are expected to clear the table themselves after. The pastries are all individually wrapped making me think that they’re not fresh.
Great service, great food and overall great people. TFB cares about what and who they are serving. Always consistent!
And btw, I’m from Omaha Nebraska!!!!
I love receiving their emails, Murph is so eloquent in his messages. He makes me feel like I am part of the family
