What an amazing place! First, the bakery items were out of this world. Had a cinnamon roll and the icing tasted like it had almond extract in it! Cookies, brownies, banana bread—all great. We also had a little conversation with the owners and they were friendly, funny, and good-hearted. It feels so good to support a small business with delicious food.
My husband and I were pleased to find two vegetarian options here: egg salad sandwich and the pimento cheese sandwich. The pimento cheese was the best my husband and I had ever had. The egg salad was delicious too (I like a bit more acidity) and everything was so fresh. The bread on the sandwiches was SO GOOD. We also got the OG chocolate chip cookie and the oatmeal cookie and those were scrumptious! This was delicious, high quality food.

This is a must! We drove in from Austin to get that small town feel and was quite surprised with "The Bearded Baking Company" located in a beautiful downtown building with lots of charm. Had a wonderful lunch, looking forward to trying other options from their menu.If you get an opportunity a must try is the "fairly gay" and"Bluebonnet" cookies, maybe a brownie, well worth the calories, all three came home with me.Highly recommended and well worth the drive.
