5 stars all around. Must try list for me: watermelon nigiri and the tuna with the whiskey glaze. Drinks were phenomenal, our waitress had incredible recommendations, and portions were perfect.

Stopped in for Happy Hour, fast friendly service, and delicious food. I would order every dish again.

Just WOW. We were staying across the street at The Proper and my daughter wanted sushi so we headed over. From start to finish the food and the service were impeccable. Our server was Linwood and he was very knowledgeable and patient, but the other servers who dropped off food were just as personable. We were given yellowtail sashimi as a free starter and then our waiter gifted us short rib something that was amazing for my son's birthday. We had so much fun, the food was amazing, and the servers were lovely. We will definitely come back when we are in Austin and will head to Uchi when we are at home in Dallas!

I love Uchi. It's where I choose to go for special events like birthdays and anniversaries. Uchiba was ok. The exception is a weird one/ the Cesar salad. It's wrong how good it is. But even with that, I'm Sticking to Uchi.

friendly, personable service from Sebastian, thanks for a great visit. prompt service on all fronts, from ordering to follow up to bussing. highlights: - nama hotate scallop nigiri was so smooth & buttery - banh mi temaki had a lovely balance of flavor & texture - toasted rice ice cream was dense & creamy

We are longtime fans of Uchi so for our anniversary we decided to book a reservation at Uchiba- oh my god so good!!!! And there's a full bar the vice + the espresso martini were my fave Our server Garrett was so attentive and sweet, he recommended the Uchiba Salad which was SO good and definitely a must try! Josh the manager stopped by to wish us a happy anniversary and gifted us a complimentary glass of champagne as well and it just felt really special, they really took great care of us on such a special day and were so elated. We never had an empty glass the entire dinner! The overall ambiance is a vibe, it's low light but a big space - less crowded than Uchi because there's way more tables but it still felt very intimate and wasn't too loud at all (despite being packed on a Friday night!) Must try items: Handmade spam, hot dip bun, the uchiba salad, All the drinks (vice; espresso martini), 72 hr Waygu Watermelon nigiri, everything?? We tried all the desserts and we are stuffed but I would order them all again Definitely request Garrett if you can, he's our go to from now on!!!!

Third visit and it keeps getting better every time, which is normal for a new place after opening as they iron out kinks.Sushi is fresh and flavorful, you’re making a mistake if you don’t try the wagyu, it just melts in your mouth. Incredible. We enjoy sitting at the sushi chef’s bar area, watching the talented pros working, hearing the chefs engage with customers, it’s fun and the team is knowledgeable and nice. You don’t feel stupid asking questions. This is an exciting addition to the Uchi group and to downtown Austin.

Finally had a chance to check out Uchiba! We've already been to both Uchi & Uchiko and greatly enjoyed the experience. Our waitress was extremely helpful & made the overall experience seem less. I will say.. quite a few of the items we had tonight were very similar to other dishes at Uchi & Uchiko. The watermelon pieces that we had were spectacular! I would definitely come back.. hoping for some new vegetarian dishes for next time when I'm back to give this spot another try. Overall the ambience was nice, I think the overall initial wait is something that the restaurant could perhaps work on. Overall.. nice try!

## A Night at Uchiba: A Culinary Tale of Love, Laughter, and Slight TerrorIn the heart of the city, under a moonlit sky,Lies Uchiba, a place where culinary dreams fly.But beware, dear diner, for within these walls,A tale of flavor, fright, and fun befalls.### The Gyutoro's CurseOnce upon a midnight dreary, a dish was served, not light but heavy,The gyutoro, a rib so merry, cooked for 72 hours, in a plot so very.Tender and rich, it promised delight,But alas, overcooked, it gave a slight fright."Too long in the oven!" I heard a ghost whisper,As I chewed on the beef, feeling slightly crisper.A love affair gone wrong, a culinary misstep,Yet, its taste in my mouth, I couldn't help but accept.### The Brussel Sprouts of Sweet DespairNext came the sprouts, a green so fair,Dressed in Thai chili sauce, they almost floated in air.Delicious, no doubt, but oh, the sauce was a snare,Oversaturated, they screamed, "Beware!"Like a romance too sweet, where everything's a glare,These sprouts were drowning, in need of fresh air.Yet, in this tragic comedy, a lesson was bare,Even the best can falter, but it's no reason for despair.### The Salmon Make Roll's Twist of FateThen, the salmon make roll, a hero in this plot,Came in with a twist, in a love knot.Yummy and fresh, with a pickle so bold,A surprise in each bite, a story untold.Like meeting your love in a horror unfold,Where monsters lurk and tales are cold.Yet, amidst the darkness, a spark of light,This roll was a beacon in the night.### Epilogue: A Night to RememberSo there we were, in Uchiba's embrace,A night of flavors, a culinary chase. With dishes so daring, in a love-horror space,We laughed, we screamed, at a peculiar pace. For in this restaurant, both love and fear lace,Creating memories that time won't erase. So, dear diner, if you dare to embarkOn a journey where food ignites a spark,Where love meets fear in a whimsical ark,Uchiba awaits, to make its mark.Just remember, as you dine in the dark,In every bite, there's a whimsical lark.

Beautiful restaurant as per usual with the Uchi's franchise. I've been told it's more casual take on Uchi. The service was amazing. The food was great! My favorite was the madai crudo!! So goood. The kinoko nigiri is a must. We decided to be spontaneous and try the dessert ice cream with chili oil that surprisingly works. I'm very big on coursing in which Uchiko & Uchibā lacks so much in that aspect. The wait time for the food takes awhile. I'd definitely come back for their madai crudo!

Amazing cocktails, service, and ambience. My friend and I went here after getting dinner on a weekday. We actually got a seat in the lounge right away. The cocktails were some of the most creative ones I’ve seen. My friend got the dirty dashi and loved it! I wouldn’t recommend it if you aren’t a fan of miso flavored items. I got the citrus old fashioned, blew my mind on how good it was. The ambience felt perfect, it was a nice combination of intimate and cozy. Additionally, they offered a courtesy amuse bouche!

Uchi-goers be warned, Uchibā does NOT do happy hour on Saturday. No big deal, not the end of the world for us, but overall the experience was just meh. We frequent Uchi and Ba doesn't really stack up. There were some fantastic bites but also about 50% were just okay. Service was inconsistent and server was friendly but not engaging... we tried to let him curate a tasting or at least point us to the must haves and he wasn't really helpful. Good thing the people next to us were friendly and listening in, they gave us the run down when our waiter stepped away. The food wait time was abysmal, we went about 45 minutes between courses at one point. Cocktails were pretty weak, many better selections across Austin:
