We were having a discussion at our table about how great Brookelyn was, and a few minutes later, the table next to us came over and was telling us how great they thought Brookelyn was also. And we just all agreed she is amazing every time we go there. We always ask for Brookelyn to be our server, and I have been there a couple of other times and over hear people telling her how great she is. And we agree also. And the food there is really good. So if you see a bad review on the food, just know that there is always someone that will not like the food......no matter how good the food is. I chop it up to....they don't really like Mexican food that much. Probably a Steak and Potato kinda person. I will always find a way to eat at El Paseo. I have been eating there for years. I love it and I always send other people there to eat also. Love this place sooooo much.“

However, Lori was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, guiding me through the steps with ease. Her exceptional customer service was truly exceptional, a rare gem in today’s fast-paced world. She even went the extra mile by showing me where to download the app for rewards. Conner, the skilled chef, took my order and prepared my food to perfection. I had a slight apprehension about the chicken and steak being cooked together, fearing the steak might overcook. But to my delight, it was cooked to my liking, tender and juicy. This late lunch experience was nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend Genghis Grill and will definitely be returning in the future.“

“The food is always great, but the particular young female waitress was extremely slow acknowledging we sat down and took over 5 minutes to come take our drink order... then later after we finished our food we had to wait for our check, the manager noticed of sitting and acknowledg us and went and got the waitress... hopefully it was an isolated situation with her, we love the food and atmosphere.... don't allow employees to destroy your business.“

“It was very good all around. I quit going to this location several years ago because of service and food but they have definitely improved. However while my chicken enchiladas were great my son in law said the meat on his Tacos was burned.😊 My husband had beef fajitas and the meat was also burned along with his flour tortillas. So I guess go with the Chicken not the Beef!

So I came in with high hopes for this restaurant and when I first arrived it seemed like your typical whole in a wall restaurant which I love. As we walked in the staff barely greeted us like we were disturbing their evening. The waitress brought us to the table but was very cold instead of warm and welcoming like you expect from an Italian family type restaurant. Of course you gotta get a salad so I did but I asked for croutons and 20 min later I had to go to the kitchen myself and get them. Then our food comes out I got the saltiest not just lasagna but the salty saltiest food I’ve ever had in my life. I couldn’t even eat it and I was starving but the major fumble was then I had to ask for bread that’s supposed to come with the meal that would never happen at Olive Garden I mean this place can’t even give you the bare minimum on customer service. Now the next part is the kicker now keep in mind I still paid for my meal obviously everyone from ownership to management to staff does not care and doesnt carry that true Italian passion you get from other Italian restaurants. And as we left the staff said thanks for the 1 star review my reply “you welcome and you get what you deserve” then an argument insued… Do Not Do Not waste your money or time here they already got my donation hope it helps them make improvements because based on all these reviews the people of Saginaw deserve better than this much better than this. Don’t Support this Place until they are willing to listen to the people and make changes…“

However, it is now something we’ve been doing for a few years now! The food isn’t fine dining, but it remains delicious nonetheless, and the pricing on it is tough to beat - especially when you use rewards points off the iHop app. Even beyond that, the staff is friendly and likes to build relationships with regulars. We’ve been being served by Katrina since 2022, and even after moving from 5 minutes away to 25 minutes away we’re still there on Sundays - you can find iHop food closer to home, sure, but you absolutely can’t find another waitress like her. Her cheerful personality is infectious, she’s an absolute joy to talk to, and she takes care of our table so well that it’s easy to forget you’re not a guest in her home at any given time.
