“I was in the business for 42 years. Am very demanding. Food quality was perfect (several visits). Ordered sweet potato fries, expecting what I usually get, but THEY WERE FRESH! Menu interesting and different. Desserts, wow! Staff is very courteous and friendly. Casual, not stuffy place. Seating inside and on patio. Loved it!!! PS, my spend is a little high because I always ordered wine - great list!“

“I was looking for a place to eat while up here in Arlington. I found this place and gave it a shot. Definitely glad I did, service was great. Talitha was fabulous, explained what the food came with, was patient with my indecisions as well lol. There is also a game room, pool tables and a bar. I would recommend this place if ever in the area.“
“This place has a great environment. Always drama free. The owners Mrs Kathy & Mr Carl always treat everyone with so much love & respect. Great music, Pool Tables, dominos etc. If you're looking for a great old school vibe this is the spot for you.“

“Chip and queso, morning grind burger. Petite chicken fried steak, side salad and brisket nachos. All of it was delicious! Not one complaint about the food. The hot sauce was fresh and seemed home made. The only complaint we had was they ran out of sweet tea and could have offered water or something else while it was being made. The kids drinks sat empty for most of their meal. Regardless the server did his best and we enjoyed the time there. Well be back for sure.

“We just had the most wonderful experience at Hillside Tavern. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was chill enough that we were able to bring our 11-year-old niece to eat with us. The service was top notch. Chad and his team are doing an incredible job and we’ll be back very soon to try out the rest of that awesome menu!“
