“If you ever have a craving for a great Gordita and a very cold michelada, this is the place. The rice was very well made and while the tacos tasted good it wasn’t nothing to necessarily write home about. I’d stick to the gorditas and try the chicharrón and whatever else the amazing cashier recommends. Definitely a Durango and Zacatecas style place. Very authentic.“

“Food was great! Trompo was ok. Fajita was definitely the way to go. First time here and learned it’s better to call in. Placed order in person and waited about 30-40 min. Quesadilla with trompo and fajita was also amazing. Salsas are ok, not the greatest. But would definitely come back for more. Will probably be my to-go spot since I’m new to the area.5 stars because it exceeded my expectations as a food truck/stand! 10 out of 10 recommended! Depending what time you go parking can get packed since it is a gas station/corner store.“

“I go here almost every weekend always smacks . Never slacking on condiments and personally think they have good service , considering that they cook every at the moment you order so everything is always hot and fresh . Good price ( I get the special of 25 tacos de trompo for $40)*the first time you gave it will feel like it's over salted and your breath will stink after eating their tacos fr trompo but over all I rate it a 4.5.Thank you for the great food Trompo Loco“

“Matt's is supreme. I'm sorry, there are other restaurants out there and some of them are good. Or maybe great. But Matt's is simply UNPARALLELLED. The menu chosen for a private buffet was an appetizer buffet with salsa (how do they MAKE it so fantastic?!), guacamole, queso, chips, pico de gallo, deep-fried jalapeno poppers, and so much more...was only topped by the main menu of beef and chicken and cheese enchiladas, beans, rice, and fascinating margaritas, sweet tea, or whatever you fancy. A buffet sounds like you might to left to your own devices--but the staff was right there, on point, taking our drink orders, replenishing dishes, and making sure we were content and FED. Although it was a Celebration of LIfe and no one wants to repeat that, I'm going to SEARCH for happy reasons to return to Matt's Lakewood every chance I get. Don't waste time checking out other places, Matt's Ranchero Martinez is WHERE IT'S AT!!“
