Firehouse Subs in Bastrop is a popular new store that has quickly gained fans. The sandwiches are hot, made to order, and come out fresh and pretty quick, even when the dining room is full of people. The Jamaican Jerk Turkey sandwich is delicious, with smoked turkey, pepper jack cheese, sweet mustard sauce, and Caribbean seasoning coming together perfectly with just the right kick. The pepperoni pizza meatball sub with added jalapeño on gluten free bread is very impressive, and the GF bread stands out. The italian sub comes highly recommended. The tuna sandwich on wheat with Miss Vickie's bbq chips is very tasty and really filled. However, the firehouse meatball sub medium size can be dry with minimum sauce, though the meatballs taste okay. Seating is limited at this new store, so using the app to order and taking it to-go is recommended. The app has good coupons. The lady at the front taking orders is sweet and helpful.
