“Alex and his family make excellent Queso Birria Tacos. It's a small place but Alex himself helped my wife with her allergen issues. I know that can be a pain and it's difficult to take people at their word but he did and cleaned the grill off before starting our food. This was a lot to ask and I never enjoy asking places so we rarely eat out. He didn't begrudge the request a bit and wanted to understand how best to help.“

“I randomly found this place when I made a wrong turn and was rerouted through old Baytown. This place is a hidden gem! Authentic Mexican food accompanied with great and friendly service. I do a lot of work in Mexico City and Querétaro, and the food here is MUCH better! The chilaquiles and huevos rancheros are phenomenal! Everyone here is very friendly, the prices are great, and honestly if you’re looking for real Mexican food this is the place to go! If you have anyone visiting from out of town definitely bring them here for breakfast, they’ll love it!“

“This is a shout out to AJ at the corporate office for taking care of me today. Our family has been eating at El Toro for many years. We love their food and service. Today I called about some confusion on points earned with their new rewards system. I just knew I was owed more points. I had a call back from AJ at the corporate office on a Saturday when he wasn't at work just to help me out. Turns out I misunderstood the points due to having earned a reward and the system not showing all the transactions. Not only was he extremely patient and kind and figured out what was going on, he still gave me extra points for my trouble. That is excellent customer service.“

Great atmosphere but it’s the food and home Mexican cooking that will have you coming back for more ,both fresh flour n corn hand made tortillas made daily and food that is made in small quantities so that it’s fresh daily not frozen or reheated. With one cook to ensure quality, this is a sure place to dine?

“Love this place!Have been coming in like 3X a week getting the Agua de Guayaba, im addicted! The fresh agua de coco is great too! Freshly cracked! I will say I was just a little disappointed with the elotes, I’ve gotten them twice now, one time Amarillo with Parmesan and the last time blanco with the queso fresco and both times it tasted spoiled. But we love the Aguas and keep coming back for them!“
