“Tadashi is a solid sushi spot in our neighborhood, and it’s great to have a place like this nearby. This time, we ordered Salmon Fatty Nigiri, Ebi Nigiri, and Salmon Nigiri. The Toro Tuna was excellent—something that’s rare to find at this level in Austin. The other nigiri were also well-prepared and fresh.

Unfortunately, they didn’t have Sea Urchin Nigiri this time, which is usually one of our favorites. The atmosphere is pleasant, making it a great post-movie stop, especially since it’s located in a plaza right by the theater. Reliable, high-quality sushi for the area, and definitely a go-to for a casual but well-executed sushi experience.“

“I haven’t physically been there yet so can’t review atmosphere but this place is the truth. I grew up in hawai’i so I am very picky. Poke is usually more on the simplistic side but I do appreciate dedicated poke restaurants that offer a variety of options as far as protein and toppings. I’ve tried several poke restaurants around the austin area and decided to try Poke Austin for the first time yesterday (ordered via grubhub) and after just one bite, I literally said “mmmm” it was so flavorful and savory!! I enjoyed everything. I ordered a poke bake with teriyaki chicken and spam. It came standard with edamame, fish roe, corn and some kind of pickled veggie as toppings. The harmony of that poke bowl was amazing and nearly perfect. I’m building my own bowl now today and I can’t wait. I haven’t felt compelled to write a review for other poke spots I’ve tried but needed to write one for this place. Also, the kimchi they have is BOMBBB and that’s hard to come by in a restaurant setting around atx unless you’re at an authentic korean spot. Will be eating this regularly as long as the product is consistent!

“The food was good and the presentation was clean and creative. The sashimi and nigiri pieces were quite large—I ended up cutting them into bite-sized pieces with my chopsticks. The handrolls were a good size and easy to eat. The menu doesn’t offer much variety, but now I know: if I want more options, I’ll just go elsewhere. Still, a solid spot if you know what to expect.“
