“I never really have any problems with the food. It's hit and miss with the customer service. Enough of their employees seem prejudice towards white people and and act like they don't want to be bothered with them. Other ones are really great and treat all the customers great.“
“Quick Version: Come try it. It’s delicious.Long version: I walked in first time and right away was like, “This place going to be good because they have aunties and grannies working in the kitchen.” I was right. The torta cubana is good and they don’t cheap out on the ingredients. It had that thick ham not that deli sliced ham. They put either mayonnaise or butter when they toast the bread and cheese. The little things that elevate the taste, you know? When I try out a new taqueria, I like to order 1 taco of lengua and 1 of tripas. If they cook those two meats good, the rest is going to be good. Let me tell you their lengua is good. It’s soft without being mushy or blocky. AND, on a homemade tortilla boooooy! I didn’t expect that. It was delicious. The aunties treated us really well and made my coworker and I feel at home. They were very nice and friendly and even gave that regaño de abuelita because my coworker didn’t finish his torta LOL! It was really heartwarming. The horchata was good too.I would only recommend two things. A little more taste and spiciness on the salsas. Quiero moquear de lo picoso ?. And some love to the walls or decorations would really brighten up the place.Try the place. You won’t regret it.“
“Youtube brought me to Waco to try and the food was good other than 2 things. Mac bowl was a lil dry and needed a bit more seasoning. It could've been from what I ordered but I would consider it mid. It is inside Union Hall for anyone looking to go! I still think it is worth going if you're on your way to Waco. Thankfully I was just passing through“
“First time to Torchys and definitely not the last. Although I don't live or work in Waco anymore, a friend and I had lunch here on Monday. It was a "missed you" and "you've got this" for something she's facing this week. The fajitas were amazing!! Thank you!! Keep up the great everything!“
“The best tacos in Waco. The only thing they're missing is a better sauce. But above all they are delicious. I recommend them!!! Order from Asada, tongue, barbecue. The meat was very soft and the tacos were hot. I didn't look at corn.“
“YUM! Y’all if you’re in Lacy Lakeview you need to stop in here. I swung by for the first time yesterday & I was so delighted at how tasty & fresh the food was. I got a Barbacoa Taco (cilantro, onions, meat, corn tortillas) is was melt in your mouth! Also, the Gordita was stellar (bean, cheese inside- I added chicken), outside was a little crispy and was filling. The Gordita with just the beans and cheese would still be delicious, too.Green & red sauce and pico de gallo provided in closed little containers- to top it all off. Only recommendation would be to have bottled water for sale, in addition to the large variety of Mexican sodas & other beverages. I’ll be back!Parking: 3-4 spots in front of trailer“
“What delicious Mexican burgers ? you have a variety of tacos, burritos, soft drinks and they have just added very good desserts, the portions are a very good size and the costs are affordable; You can eat there or take away. On the weekend there are a lot of people...“
“This place is a little hidden gem in Waco. Visited for the day and was scoping out some local spots to hit up and check out. The menu had a wide variety of Mexican street food icons from burritos to tortas and absolutely delivered on flavor. $2-$3 a taco which means you can get a whollleee lot before you tap out. Fun and clean environment and just a cool spot to check out. If you want some real street tacos, hit this place up!“
“This place is highly recommended by the locals, and this is such a diamond in the rough. The tacos are some of the best I have had in the North Texas area. The definite go-tos and recommendations are the Tacos al pastor, birria tacos, and Trompo tacos. I have heard that their tortas are also the bomb! Four tacos came out to be around $9, which is such a deal!Definitely will be coming back!“
“I really like the food here! It’s mexican fusion, so there’s some asian/american influence. It’s very white washed so nothing too spicy lol. The service is very slow especially if you are in the drive thru. I gave up on that. Also, the cheese is not great, the queso is awful and the cheese on tacos can be very chewy so I wouldn’t recommend it. Still this is one of my favorite places in waco!“
“This place is tucked in, the dude has a nice car I went and got some tacos and honestly there were great the chips were great and the sauce was great the price was great. Definitely going there again I had to do this review go check em out!“
