A long-awaited trip to The Tilted Windmill proved satisfying and interesting. The building is worth the trip...beautiful bar! Our order was taken by Charlie, who let us know she had made her mom's turkey and dumplings (with added peppercorns). That proved too much to resist and we weren't disappointed. I also enjoyed the White Wolf coffee, a huge mug that included shots of white chocolate mocha and Irish cream. Yum!!
Charlie was a delight and she definitely catered to customers, working to keep this establishment's clientele satisfied and happy. You would have thought she was the owner! Matthew, who served our food and cleared tables (and maybe even fulfilled orders), was also very friendly and helpful. In addition, they have about 100 varieties of tea! If you're considering, definitely try The Tilted Windmill. Allow plenty of time because this place is busy, and you'll want to take time to study the tea menu.

The food tasted good but in small portions. Refused to substitute food even though the menu says there was a $2 charge to substitute. Most of the servers were standoffish or looked like they would rather be hanging by their thumbs than fake a smile and give basic common service.
Dietary restrictions: Beware.

The service is excellent. The counter service is even worth a tip if you get to talk to Charlie. The tomato basil soup is very fresh, but it needs seasoning; be prepared to add all of the condiments available. The sandwiches are small but filling. The 5-8 club comes with almost no vegetables except the avocado. The full monte and the egg-in-hole are very tasty. There is an awesome selection of tea.

It really sucks that I live 2 hours away because I would probably come here every day. This shop is in Brenham's hip downtown area. This place sells a large latte for $5 AND they don't charge extra for syrups (that they make mostly in house) alternative milks, or extra shots!! Not to mention, the person who helped me was fantastic. Why in the hell would anyone go to Starbucks when they have this place. I'll be back every time I'm in town.

This came highly recommended but after arriving we were somewhat disappointed. First salvo, we had to order our breakfast at the bar area. A line formed quickly so I jumped in. I waited a little bit as the person finally took my order. Coffee was only available behind the bar so after taking my order she proceeded to make our coffee. The line grew longer and people were lined up between tables. We sat in another room. She asked me where we were seated and I told her "in the next room in the corner by the window." No number was given to me for us to put on our table. People bringing out food had to ask who ordered certain meals, not really knowing who it belonged to. Very unorganized. The meals, were very basic though on the menu sounded exotic. I ordered a French Toast with the Memphis option which was 2 toasted bread with cut banana and peanut butter in the middle. Man, I could make this at home! Nothing exotic about this. It came with a sausage patty the size of a 50¢ piece of coin. No lie. Also a yogurt cup, very small. See the pics. Anyway, good luck if you want to try this place. It's a nice spot but over-hyped.

Fun spot in charming downtown Brenham. The Barista is passionate about her homemade syrups(which were fantastic)! Service was quick and food was good. Great breakfast/hangout spot!

I got the mellinnial falcon. It's was soooo good. As was the orange chocolate bon bon ?
And the TEA!! So many teas!!
The environment was full of such good vibes. Witty named items. An area to read and play games. So many spices, teas, sugars, jellies, etc to buy!
The lady at the bar was so nice and informative as well! Helped alot in what to decide on to get, which was difficult because it all looked so good!
I highly recommend this place. Worth every second and penny

I love this place so much!! Every time I come in, I'm greeted with friendly smiles and a creative menu. Everything from their teas, coffees, and food is beyond amazing. I also absolutely love their pickles, preserves, spices and balsamic vinegars!! My favorites have to be those bread and butter pickles and the cranberry orange balsamic. I'll definitely be back soon to dine and shop!

I went here with my friend last Saturday for a day trip and I can't wait to come back! The interior of the building is beautiful and the people were so friendly and fun. I bought a jar of garlic bread and butter pickles and apple pie spread. I ate the entire jar of pickles that same day and the apple pie spread is almost gone. Without a doubt one of the best pickles I ever had. Please stop by if you're ever in town!
