The bbq from 1848 was hands down the best in Brownsville. The brisket was very moist and had the perfect balance of fat and meat on each slice.The charro beans were delicious and had pieces of brisket in it. The flavor was like something my mom makes! The corn pudding has a great flavor and wasn’t too sweet. The ribs were very moist and had great flavor, but did not just fall apart, which was a plus. Let me start by saying I wish I had pictures of the food my husband and I got but we literally ate everything so I'm gonna and got more food to go lol The speed of service was literally amazing the customer service was outstanding the girl behind the counter was very nice and helpful we tried a little bit of everything and all I can say is that hands down 1948 is the BEST BBQ place in Brownsville TX we will most definitely be coming back very soon with our family and friends...read full review

It will satisfy your cravings for Bbq.Brisket is Fair,The pork is alright The sausage is really good Cole slaw is really good and beans too.Also most Bbq Joints/Places have their own signature Home made teas or lemonade while they just sell canned beverages.
