Las Brasas

As a native of. Brownsville who lives part of the year away, I appreciate coming back for great Mexican food. Especially bfast. For years this place has made great flour tortillas with eggs(huevos) a la Mexicana leave the Chile out if you don't like spice. Flour Tortillas with picadillo(Mexican style ground beef). You'll thank me. Fajitas are good as well. I'm picky and this is good food. Try it. Pancakes and other traditional bfast food also. I'm not there for that!

Nice restaurant food is good but if you don't speak Spanish and if you don't like loud Live Mariachi music during lunch making it impossible to have conversations then you may want to rethink this as a choice but aside from that great place for breakfast or lunch

I was born in Brownsville and while I live in Dallas, I'm here frequently and eat at Las Brasas frequently. Definitely a harsh food critic on sub-par food and this is good. This place has great flour tortillas and ask for it filled with Huevos a la Mexicanca. (eggs Mexican style). I ask for it without chile.
