In Brownwood, Texas there is an auspicious local attraction, The Pioneer Tap House. Seeing the Local color you get a flair of why they named it this!
It’s obvious it’s a successful local lure. We popped in for refreshment after a day excursion and found the staff and atmosphere inviting. No matter where you get Pizza, it is going to be different. This was a tasty treat and obviously a favored one locally. Many beers to choose from and they’re happy to help you choose!
A definite stop in if you’re in the area!

Always a great selection of beer and wine with an ever growing delicious menu, I’d highly recommend Pioneer Tap House as a place to stop when you’re wanting a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We have eaten here numerous times. But tonight was the first time I had a bad experience. Usually the pizza and service are awesome. Not so tonight. Our pizza was cold and the woman working the bar ignored me while she talked to other customers and then walked away to help someone else even though I had stood there waiting patiently for her to finish her conversation. She knew I was there she just didn't seem to care. They took away the flatbed pizza so my husband wasn't sure he want to go tonight. Not sure we will go back. At least the guys that work there are nice and know what customer service means.

Beer selection is outstanding. The service is great and the atmosphere is lively but I am disappointed by the pizza. The description says double pepperoni, mushroom, jalapenos, etc but it was lacking in toppings. It should have been hand tossed but it was super thin. First time her e and maybe this is the norm but it didn't scratch the itch. I expected more for a medium $21 pizza, Maybe next time will be better.

We stopped in for lunch on a road trip and were not disappointed! it can be hard to find edible cauliflower crust pizza if you're a gluten free traveler and this was delicious! Even the gluten loving husband thought so. Staff (esp. Coby) was kind, attentive and friendly. We will make it a point to stop in again.
