Wonderful service and amazing home cooked food!
We stopped by on way back home from a Dallas Stars game and this place did not disappoint!!! We ordered the chicken fried steak, fried mushrooms, chicken sandwich and pepperoni pizza for my son. The food was cooked perfectly and you can tell by the flavor or was all from scratch. The place is super nostalgic, like a portal to the past and the service was impeccable, polite and some of the best we've had in a very long time!!! Truckers and families are welcome, with ample parking and a kid-friendly menu. The ground beef steak and ribeye dinners are highly recommended, served with flavorful homemade mashed potatoes, mushrooms, onions, and brown gravy. The portions are mighty, and the food is awesome, with excellent flavor and perfectly tender chicken. The schnitzel, BLT with so much bacon, and exquisite pecan pie are also standout dishes. The service is superb, with attentive and knowledgeable staff, and the atmosphere is pleasant, making it an ideal stop off I-35 for great food and service. This true gem is a great little hometown diner place where food comes out super quick.
