We had the Friday fish special which was delicious and very filling. It's a little pricey for a small- town diner.Kid-friendliness: Casual place and small town atmosphere- I think kids would be welcome though there weren't any there when I went.
Food was fine, not great but not bad. Tortilla seemed to just be a store bought one. It's pretty pricey for breakfast, each plate was $13.99. Nice people, you order when you walk in and self serve drinks. We were staying at Mother Neff State Park and just passing through.

We drove by and had to stop at this little cafe. This is where the locals are going. We've been for both breakfast and lunch. It definitely has a small town cafe feel. The food is terrific! The carne guisada is tender and flavorful. I loved the veggie omelette for breakfast! The staff is friendly and one nice lady talked with us and gave us suggestions for family activities in the surrounding areas. We will definitely go back!
