“My husband is the steak eater of the family and says Perini is the best. I love the grilled chicken and dusted shrimp. My go to side dish is the green chili hominy. The salad is fresh tasting and the rolls served before the meal are delicious. Dessert? Hands down the strawberry shortcake- a different take than what most of us are familiar with. Warm strawberries are served over homemade sugar biscuits with a little pitcher of cream.“

“I guess this is a good problem to have but they served waaay too much chicken/meat on the gyro and it got soggy so I wasn’t able to eat it with my hands. 🤣 I’d give it 9/10 for taste considering it is Abilene. Baklava was delicious but a little too sweet for my liking but I still ate the last crumb. The server threw out the trash and the bag left a huge trail of trash water which was really nasty considering we and other guests were still eating. It wasn’t even closing time, more like 2pm. I suggest they move the trash towards the back or have like a bin with wheels so it could be rolled to the back. They didn’t have plastic spoons which I thought was odd.“

“We likes the atmosphere. You can sit inside for a romantic atmosphere or maybe outside with a work group or group of buddies! It's a cool place to sit down and have a meal with pretty much anyone. The food is awesome. We will be back!“

“recently had a lunch date at Lucy‘s and it’s something about the food that just hits the spot. It’s such homestyle cooking that makes the food taste so much better it is such a comfort food that I highly recommend them. The staff is so polite and kind. I have never had a bad experience at Lucy‘s the owner stop by every table to say hi and checks in with everyone, which I think makes the place even more special. Lucy‘s is one of the best places for a great lunch date. Portion sizes are amazing and the jalapeño poppers are the best in town.“

“We were driving through Abilene and decided to stop at this Cici's. Well worth it!!! The pizza was so good! My favorites were definitely Buffalo chicken, pepperoni, and apple. The cinnamon rolls were great too. Great experience overall, would recommend.“

“Shout out to Taco Casa Abilene on Buffalo Gap Road. We went and ate lunch and everything was great. I’m picky and like a bean burrito with not a ton of beans and the kitchen showed me the burrito before rolling it to see if that was how I wanted it. Then a man that worked there I guess noticed I didn’t finish my food and brought me a sack to take it home with me so it was easier to carry since I had a baby with me, he did this without me saying a word about needing one just thinking he’d make things easier on me to carry. So thoughtful. The place was super clean and the environment was great unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere. They take pride in what they’re putting out and you don’t see that much nowadays especially in fast food.“

“There are two locations in Abilene. Personally, the location on the south side of town is the only one I will go to, even though it means adding an extra 10 minutes one way to my drive. Excellent service, friendly staff, consistently great food, and basic things like napkins, Heff’s sauce, and tea are always accessible and kept in good supply.“
