We both weren't settled on what we wanted, but each chose the steak fries. Man, giant mound of food with perfectly cooked tenderloin. Would definitely go get this again.“

“Shout out to Taco Casa Abilene on Buffalo Gap Road. We went and ate lunch and everything was great. I’m picky and like a bean burrito with not a ton of beans and the kitchen showed me the burrito before rolling it to see if that was how I wanted it. Then a man that worked there I guess noticed I didn’t finish my food and brought me a sack to take it home with me so it was easier to carry since I had a baby with me, he did this without me saying a word about needing one just thinking he’d make things easier on me to carry. So thoughtful. The place was super clean and the environment was great unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere. They take pride in what they’re putting out and you don’t see that much nowadays especially in fast food.“

“We went back after it reopened. A few things. 1. Spicy beef and chicken was far from spicy. It was decent , at best. However, their Orange Peel Chicken was bomb! The Calamari was on point, as well. Shout out to Marcus for recommending the Orange Peel chicken. My daughter loves Orange Chicken and he recommended Orange Peel as opposed to regular Orange and explained the difference. He was right on! The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, as always and the staff was really nice and attentatuve. I would definitely go back. They have a lot of dishes to try!“

“I have been coming here for over 15 years, and it to this day is my favorite restaurant in Abilene! Jodie has made my burrito the last several times and these have been the best burritos I have ever had from Sharkys! Definitely recommend and see if you can get Jodie she is always a delight!“

Great prices on the drinks. Customer friendly bartenders & staff. It’s such a good time. The energy is fun, warm, and welcoming to all who patronize. It’s a diverse & varied environment. I highly recommend supporting the open mic nights. You don’t have to be a pro or seasoned singer. It’s kind of like karaoke with a live band plus the band performs songs in between. They take the time out to learn the music to the song you want to perform. Basic Truth is a soulful, artistically talented, group of local musicians with a power house lead lady singer. They are very open and welcoming to all different types of musical artistic expressions. If you haven’t checked open mic nights out yet, you’re truly missing out. “our family goes here at least once a week. the steak is just about always perfectly cooked, the broccoli and loaded sweet potatoes are great. the bread is great. the vibes are great. and it’s cheaper than for my husband and i to eat here than if we were to get raising canes or taco bell which is crazy! we love it though. one of the servers in particular (we don’t know his name unfortunately. white guy, tall, maybe late 30’s or early 40’s, works nights and helps run food a lot) he’s a great server, really. i’ll look for his name next time we go and update the post but he deserves a raise!!“
