El Mezquite is amazing, from salsa and chips, to margaritas, to the crunchy chile relleno. The wait staff are awesome, too. If you're passing through Canyon, pull in just past the big cowboy on Highway 60. You'll be so glad you did!
I hadn't been there in years, but a friend told me they changed ownership and that the food was much better. After eating there I agree the new owners have improved the food. However, some of the help needs a little work on their customer service skills, other than that a good experience.
What a amazing family owned business they go above and beyond customers needs. The food is authentic and amazing highly recommend this place if I could give it more stars I would give them 15 stars
