One of the limited food options in Carthage. At least with a chain, you usually know what you're getting. Service was slightly slow here and they did get my somewhat custom order wrong (no pickles!). Food tasted about the same except some of the veggies looked slightly suspect. All in all, it's alright for East Texas but it ain't fine dining.
I had a really bad first experience of whataburger Saturday night. I had just gotten of work and im new to Texas so I was eager to try it. When I got there the line was ridiculously long there was a large line inside as well. The line was so long people couldn't even leave the parking lot. It took an hour and 30mins for us to finally reach the ordering window and another 20mins to get yo the window. By the time we got all our food it was cold and gross. Staff at this location were very pleasant & helpful. Gentleman working outside helped with getting my wheelchair bound husband into the dining area. We were helped with privacy in the restroom. The dining room staff assisted us with getting a discount plus cleared & cleaned the handicapped table for our use. The dining room was very clean.While we're not from the area, we would recommend this Whataburger to anyone. Only negative is the parking lot turn around/exit.
