AMAZING! We consider ourselves BBQ connoisseurs driving all over Texas to try places that have been written up! Paw Paws is just north of Austin. Well worth the drive! WOW the brisket is truly extraordinary!!!

You'd think that a BBQ place would be easy to spot - look for the smoke signal, but doing 45 through the busy intersection, it is easy to overlook. In fact, I'd been just across the street for an hour the day before an never noticed Paw Paws BBQ attached to the convenience store with rust red awnings - diagonal from the church. I'm glad that I drove back - the food was worth the drive and the folks selling it were down home friendly people. | The brisket was had a salty bark and deep smoke flavor throughout. Unlike the guy who got a very fatty cut, mine was a touch dry but still very good. You'll have plenty of time to check out the unusual L shaped smoker - two grills welded together - in the shed while waiting for the food. Certainly not better than Franklin's but better than Rudy's, which is reliably good food in my book and very much an authentic local business. The sausage was exceptional! They sliced it while it cooked to let the juice drain out so the meat had a very smoky, meaty flavor instead of the usual paintball of grease - honestly some of the best tasting sausage I've eaten. The Mrs was very enthusiastic too and the woman certainly knows her way around a sausage so take it from us - two thumbs up. Sorry that I missed out on the chicken - we arrived as they opened (to avoid the meat getting dry during the day which some folks have experienced), so the chicken had not yet made an appearance for the day. The sides were... well, I forget I set them a side. The sauce was very likely commercial - thicker and sweeter than homemade, but it looked good on the counter as I carnivored my way through some darn good BBQ.

My new favorite BBQ place. The sides are AMAZING. Mac and cheese is the family favorite. I HIGHLY recommend the ribs! Oh and the banana pudding (the best I’ve had). We liked it so much the first time that we ordered it for Father’s Day. I think people have discovered this little gem and I recommend you calling ahead because they sell out. Or at least they did that day.

Asked for lean brisket. Got extra moist (fatty). Only sells by the pound. So if everyone wants something different be prepared to spend $80. That was only meat. No aides for 3 people. Food had a good flavor 3 stars. Service and price was 1 Star. but overall I'd give it a 2 star. I won't be back. But I hope they get better.

the only review you'll ever need to read about paw paw's barbeque: better than franklin's. the best bbq in the state of texas. the best ribs i've ever had in my life and i have traveled the world! the meat fell off the bone, the sauce was sweet and savory with a strawberry finish. the potato salad is world class. chef greg is the best, never change the way you do the ribs, they are perfect. chrsta was professional and treated us like family! brisket explodes like a butter bomb at first bite! homemade secret recpue bbq at its best!

Good food. Fast service. Super nice people too. Not the best bbq in the Austin area, but not the worst either!

Our new go-to for BBQ! I'll be honest -- I'm not a big meat-eater. For me, it's as much about the sides as anything. BOTH were excellent. This business doesn't take short-cuts and the flavors prove it. As a bonus to the excellent food, I am happy to support a locally-grown small business. It's exciting to see it grow and thrive. You too can have the thrill of participating in their success -- and have a belly full of FANTASTIC BBQ. What's not to love?!

Was at Stiles Switch a few days ago, and I definitely prefer Paw Paws. Brisket and chicken were tender, juicy, and full of flavor (great bark!). Banana pudding was super comforting ?

Hands down the best barbecue and sides I have ever had! You have to try the banana pudding.

Brisket, ribs, chicken, pinto beans & cream corn were DELICIOUS!! I ordered & had it delivered for guest and it was a big hit. Yes, I am a biased because of the family ties, but all I can say is Paw Paw's is the real deal when it comes to TX BBQ in Cedar Park!!

My hubby just picked us up this barbecue and wow it was fabulous the sauce is amazing. I had the brisket and chicken the meat was very tender the beans tasted like no other beans I've ever had. I have to say the mac & cheese was very cheesy so I personally didn't care for but my husband liked it, but let me tell you about the desert wow wow wow that banana pudding was the best I've ever had it was so delicious I wish I would've had to we would definitely be going back here for our barbecue we've had a lot here in Texas and this is one of the best that we've had and the price was great.

Great food! Nice workers!! Recommended!!!

Not for me. The BBQ sandwich was hard and crunchy and cold. They were out of everything else we ask for except for creamed corn that was from a can. It looks like most if not all of the sides are from a can.
