““Why, the sheer audacity of that young lady! I approached with a courteous ‘hello,’ as any decent person might, only to be met with mockery and laughter. She carried on with her coworkers as though I were some grand joke, which I assure you, I am not”!
Now, I’ll grant them this—the ice cream was quite delightful, and that mango energy drink was rather refreshing—but good manners seem to have been entirely absent from the establishment.
To make matters worse, the woman hadn’t the faintest knack for properly scooping ice cream, yet still found the nerve to ridicule me, even going so far as to compare me to some fellow behind my back while giggling like a schoolchild.
Really, the impertinence of a lady in a black T-shirt behaving in such an unbecoming manner—it’s simply beyond the pale!”
yet I have neither confirmed that she said that“
“My friend, a 78-year-old Marine veteran, was in the hospital for open-heart surgery and his one request was a strawberry milkshake. The strawberry machine was down, but when the manager heard the story, he didn't hesitate. He had his team flush an entire working machine—wasting product in the process—just to make that one special shake. This incredible act of kindness and respect for a veteran was one of the most decent things I've seen in a while. Thank you for going so far above and beyond.“
