I ate dinner there for first time Saturday night. The Chicken Fried Steak was one on the best I have ever eaten. The mash potatoes, corn, green beans, and Brownie were all Granny Cooking good. The people were so nice it was like being at Granny’s house. That gravy just doesn’t happen, that’s old school.
I have lived in Copperas Cove since 1995 and have eaten at Lil' Tex multiple times. Every time, I walk away satisfied, full, and with a deeper sense of community by supporting local business. The staff is experienced. The portions are extremely generous. The prices of menu items are just right. I hope they stay in business for many more years to come.
Friendly service and excellent food. You do sometimes have to wait but only when they are busy. It's a relaxing atmosphere to spend time with family and friends. Coffee is amazing! Too many of my favorite foods to name them all!
