Surfing crab Reviews
Don’t call yourself a cajun restaurant if your food is bland with zero flavor once so ever. I get it some folks may like it that way. But if you are from East Tx or Louisiana… just find somewhere else. You will be utterly dissatisfied.
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Surfing Crab Monday February 10th at about 7:30 pm. After placing my order, I was shocked to find that the food was not only incorrect, but was also missing crawfish and surely did not receive 1lb of shrimp as it was clearly less than “about 22 pieces” When I brought this to the attention of the manager, MARIO, his response was nothing short of unprofessional and rude. Instead of addressing the mistake with any level of courtesy...read full review

Surfing Crab offers friendly and attentive service, with staff that are helpful in making meal selections. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has well-placed ramps. On busy days like Mother's Day, the service remains excellent, but the restaurant can become loud. The portions are large, and prices are reasonable. Highlights of the menu include the Dozen Oysters and Lobster Tail Combo Cajun Mild, although some may find the mild too mild for their taste. Guests have raved about the seafood boil, calling it the absolute best they've ever had, with awesome flavors and spice. The fried calamari has also received praise. The lobster, shrimp, oysters, and corn are all standout items, although some dishes like the shrimp may be overcooked at times, leading to inconsistency in quality. While the restaurant excels in cooking crab, the shrimp preparation can vary. Despite these issues, the overall experience is positive, with great food and good value. Guests have enjoyed the lively atmosphere, complete with games, and the service, especially at the bar, has been noted as fantastic. Taylor, a server, was mentioned for providing fast service and a friendly smile. Surfing Crab is a go-to spot in Corpus, especially when paired with house fried rice and the popular yum yum sauce. The restaurant can be crowded and noisy on busy nights, yet it still offers a fun dining environment.
