“Great bar and grill Love this place“

“I used to come here all the time when I lived in highlands. It has always been super chill and had really nice and attentive bartenders. Tonight when I went was no different. I immediately had a great back and forth with both bartenders. Near 1am two black men entered the bar. Both were extremely nice and outgoing. Almost immediately they were being verbally attacked by two older white men sitting at the bar. I sat quietly listening just to make sure I 100% understood what was happening. It was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever experienced in a bar. They then tried to turn the bartenders against the two black gentleman. (Bartenders were helping other customers when this first started) They immediately tried to get them kicked out of the bar. Made several degrading comments. Called them “hustlers” and “thugs” After a while I finally said something to the bartender who was doing her very best to try and deescalate the situation. The two older white men became very aggressive with the men and both bartenders. Telling them what to do and cursing at them while simultaneously trying to convince everyone around how disrespectful the two black men were. (The irony was not lost on me) I wrote all this to say how even though I felt uncomfortable, the staff did their very best to resolve the situation. They were trying to do what was right all while being extremely disrespected. I commend both ladies for how calm they remained while also maintaining authority. Kudos to these ladies!“

“love the crew, great band nights dance floor is in good condition my favorite is the pool tables I could stay there and play all night till closing time.“

“This is second time there. Bartenders have fast service and excellent customer service. Offered to update me suggesting to open a tab at the bar with my card, I thought was a good idea also ensures they get payment. Also showed me where open tables were bc I thought you had to reserve a table but even that Saturday night we did not need a one. That info from the bartender was beyond over and above a bartenders job description so I was impressed. Then there were 2 different waitresses coming to our table who got the guys food order, drinks and I suggested an appetizer. When that came out she confirmed the guys orders were coming out and then took off which left us 2 girls who never got to order. The waitresses didn't ask us girls what entre' we wanted or nothing. Didn't even get a refill. The guys got all the attention. Just because they are cute don't mean it's OK to ignore us or neglect to ask us if there is anything else we would like to order.
I left a 20 tip at the bartender but I think those waitresses took it. It was for the bartender.“

“If wonderful people are your thing then this is the place for you. They remember their regulars by name and treat newbies like my Dad and I, like they have known us forever. The food was spectacular. If I lived closer this would become my regular place.“
