Good Friday made grrrreat at Dream cafe! Been awhile since I'd been, came for a business meeting, stayed for the stupendous breakfast ? I did the spinach mushroom omelet which was huge and packed with veggies. Cheesy grits were my side- don't know if I can ever do anything else: rich, creamy and cheesy, full o Flav! But the popovers?? I could make a meal out of those with the strawberry ? butter So much breakfast had to bring it home - one of the best values in Dallas!

Came in for a late breakfast and decided on the avocado toast with 2 fried eggs and a biscuit with gravy. I also wanted to try one of their specialty juices with the turmeric but was informed that their juicer wasn't working that day. All my food came quickly, was delicious, and portions were great. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the avocado was fresh and easy to spread on the whole wheat bread. My server too was exceptional keeping my water glass filled each time she walked by. Will definitely return to try more of their healthy creations.

Relaxed, East Dallas cafe, child and animal friendly patio. Good drinks and the Parmesan Bella mushroom strips are the best share, or entree. Excellent servers. They want you to enjoy yourself and no matter how slammed the weekends are at DC, the servers are collected, profesional and attentive. Menu could use some new items, sort of limited on entree options for vegans; the square meal with black beans and brown rice, meh . We can always find something, but a seasonal menu change might be good for a change. Dream Cafe staff is some of the friendliest in the city,, and gladly accommodate us when we ask for for something special..like us... The scrambler is my favorite and the cloud cakes are awesome, but I prefer the strawberry French toast!

Went a few times to this restaurant, had a sad excuse for a steak last time gave them another shot and after sitting for sometime my party gave up on getting a waiter and left, mediocre food and bad service.

This place has a very nice atmosphere. I went on a Sunday, so there was about a 30 min wait. The food was okay. I was unsure about the burger I got, because it was a little dry. Same with the fries.Despite this problem with the burger, the sweets were delicious. The pancakes were very filling!Service was overall good, and wait time was long but understandable, since it was packed.

My family told me to go here because of positive experiences they had before. Tonight was a very poor example. Personally, I really did not enjoy the length of time everything took, especially since there were almost no customers and it wasn't busy. The Pasta Pignoli I had was uninspired and not a pleasant experience having to de-tail all the shrimp that were added on. The white sauce pasta my wife had was ok at best. The fries were the real star tonight, as the were the only part cooked to perfection and meeting any expectations.

Been here twice and the second time was better than the first, though the first time wasn't bad. Second time we went to the far side with the bar where the service was very fast. The cloud cakes were great with the Creme Fraiche. Got a side of hash browns which were also tasteful. Going to keep this place on the radar if we are in the area for breakfast.

I normally frequent the Dream cafe in Uptown , but decided to come here because I was in the area , while the menu is pretty much the same the food does not taste the same , They didn’t have turkey sausage (only pork or vegetarian) and the first omelette I ordered had a hair in it , the staff was quick and courteous and took it back and brought back a fresh one , when the bill came she expressed she didn’t feel right charging me for the food (I never asked or expected it to be removed from the bill) but I genuinely appreciated the gesture .. Lakewood location definitely has the better customer service, but I don’t think I’ll be coming to this location again

That’s Me

Used to go here years ago and it’s other locations. Been here twice in the last 3 or so months this being the second time. The menu is pretty limited and is geared more towards avocado toast, granola, and artichoke types thinking they are being healthy eating.About the only hearty menu item was the Elvis. A biscuit with eggs, sausage, green onions, and bacon. The protein (bacon and sausage) is pretty meager in volume and the gravy is good.
