Sad to say, this place has gone down. They used to have the best tacos, well seasoned with a butter rich flavor. Not anymore. I went in yesterday and the tacos were dry, cold and not that flavorful. Sometimes you will luck up and it will be that one person working that knows how to make the tacos right, but it seems those people are gone now. I will not be spending money at any taco shop anymore, I will make my own.
If Anthony Bourdain were still alive this is the place he'd come to get tacos in Dallas. Two ladies in a gas station convenience store working over a tiny flat top cranking out the best tacos I've had in Dallas. Unexplainably flavorful meats simply adorned with lightly grilled fresh onion and cilantro. It's an alchemy that many places do well, and La Paisanita especially. Located inside in gas station. You're harassed by several homeless people, the place isn't clean and the tacos are ok. They make you wait before placing an order, despite there aren't being any customers. They are quite stingy with toppings and condiments and there is a very steep charge for debit/credit card processing.
