I'm visiting from out of state excited to try the food. The environment was not welcoming. No one spoke or greeted us. After a family member advised not to even eat here. We still decided to purchase from this establishment. The food was not as described advised that we couldn't get a refund and we would have to call and talk to the owner. Revolver Taco Lounge TO GO is a hidden gem in Deep Ellum. The Sunday brunch from 11am-3pm is something wonderful. It costs $35 per person ($15 for kids) and is all you can eat. Guests walk into an alleyway to find tables covered in vibrant oilcloth tablecloths and traditional Mexican serving dishes. Friendly older women explain each dish. The buffet includes arroz a la mexicana, refried beans, mushrooms and squash sauteed in butter, menudo, baby back ribs in toasted chile de arbol sauce, beef and cactus stew, scrambled eggs with machaca, and chicken with mole michoacano. Each table gets a serving of homemade chilaquiles, and a lady brings burritos and tamales. For dessert, there is pan dulce and café de Olla. The margarita with fresh squeezed juice is unlike any other. The lamb with green mole is spectacular. The handmade tortillas set the tacos apart. Every bite reflects quality and care. The service is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely excellent. The ambience feels like a warm family kitchen in a small town in Mexico. This is authentic Mexican cuisine elevated without any pretension. It is one of the best meals anyone will ever have. Don't miss it.
