I was asked for a card to open a tab in order for me to order drinks & food, I closed out my tab at the end of the night & paid cash for everything. The next morning I noticed a charge on my card although I closed out my tab & payed in cash. I called up to the bar for 3 days no answer & no way of leaving voicemail. Finally went up to bar & bartender remembers me from a few nights ago, told her my dilemma, left my info and she told me a manager would reach back out to me. 3 weeks n still no call. Finally went back up there & bartender basically says she’s not authorized to do a refund and manager was not in. No Suprise! After 3 months later of me going up there back & fourth I was finally able to talk to a manager & he basically says to dispute it in my transaction because there was nothing else they could do on there end due to it being so long ago. Even though it was not my fault I could not reach a manager, I dispute transactions and still didn’t get a refund! DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY DOUBLE FOR YOUR MEAL!!! Not worth your time or money!!!

Avenue is the best sports bar in lower Greenville. It is relatively cheap compared to other sports bars in Dallas. The food is actually pretty solid for bar food, recommend the breakfast tacos in the morning, get the potato skins as an appetizer, and the best thing is on Thursdays Chicken fried chicken. The only issue I have with this place is sometimes they play live music that is way too loud and makes it unbearable to sit there. Plenty of Tvs to watch games. Go to spot.
Parking: Limited parking. But just park across the street in the Sam's Club for free and walk over and have a good time.
The bartenders add tips to your bank cards. Then are very rude when you come back to ask them about it ! That is fraudulent!! I didn’t authorize a 30.00 tip on a 36.90 charge … 🤬🤬🤬

This is the ONLY place to watch a game, have a good time, and be treated nicely. The owner is a solid guy and he treats all his staff with respect. Other sports bars in the area don't do the same.

This bar will auto grat you and then tries to hide it from you when you are paying out so they can get you to tip twice. When you order they will take your card, swipe it, then give back to you. When you are ready to leave and ask for your check they will run your card and give you the receipt to sign. Under the customer and merchant copy there is a smaller receipt which states that 20% auto gratuity has been applied to your bill. Nowhere is this stated on the copy you are to sign. Very easy to miss completely. If you are sitting at the bar and you ask for the bill they don't give you the total at that point. They simply run your card. Its a blatant attempt to trick customers into tipping more and it is wrong. Additionally, when your card is swiped it is pre authorized for 1 cent. It remains at this charge until 4 or 5 days go by before the full amount post. Another attempt to make the customer confused or simply just forget how much they spent. Never seen this done anywhere in my life..... Not giving these shady people another dollar.
