Literal ass, meatballs were so dry, carbonara was so bland, lasagna had dry meat balls in it, pasta dry, too salty and absolutely ruined me and my guests stomachs. Honestly had heard so many great things and was so excited but it was so bad. No words to explain it other than a disappointment

It has been a few weeks and I thought I'd already reviewed but here it goes! The food was delicious. I can see why it's not easy to get reservations! But do not fear. They are opening a rooftop patio soon! We got a personal tour. It's going to be awesome! A lot of the photos/paintings have personal meaning to the owner/head chef. I enjoyed seeing her love of food and her love of family and how they both found a home at Via Triozzi!

Food was less than underwhelming, it was heavy and salty. Hostess rudely greeted us by saying “oh, you actually showed up.” The two stars are only to our waitress who did a great job.

My boyfriend and I came here for date night, and the first thing we noticed was the immaculate interior design! Great color choices, great ambiance. David, our server, was incredibly knowledgable on our menu choices, and was extremely helpful all evening long. Thanks for the great service! Our food was good! There is a lot of care and love that goes into the food, but it wasn't MIND-BLOWING. I had the spaghetti cacio e pepe (I'm not really into seafood, and I didn't want anything super heavy that night either). The flavors were rich, but perhaps maybe too rich for me? As for my boyfriend, he had the off-menu spaghetti carbonara, and he enjoyed it very much. It was savory and not too eggy as we have found in other pasta-centric places. We'll definitely be back to try other things from the menu. Very excited to see how this place does on Greenville.

When I visited, this was almost a brand new restaurant in Greenville. I love trying new restaurants whenever I'm back in Dallas, and it makes me so happy to see such beautiful and elevated restaurants open in my hometown. Via Triozzi has a gorgeous interior, and they make use of the space really nicely. You can even see where and how they handmake their pasta near the front of the restaurant. I had to wait a bit even though I was by myself, but I was eventually able to sit at the bar. That was probably the most annoying part of my visit because I don't think staff did a good job of clearing out the bar seating area, and it was really crowded and rowdy. I ordered a few things to try, all of which were pretty good. I had the prosciutto and melon appetizer, which was so delicious! I almost didn't want to eat the last piece because of how good it was. I also ordered their famous lasagna, which I actually thought was just okay. It was definitely a better lasagna that I've tried, but to say it's what their known for... I don't know about that one. It's a pretty large piece, so I would actually recommend people come and eat family style if they can. Lastly, I ordered their take on a berries & cream dessert, which was so yummy! They make the cream in-house, and the berries were all very sweet. I can't go to an Italian restaurant without ordering an espresso martini, and they did it so well. The balance of the acidity, bitterness, and sweetness of the cream was fantastic. Staff is pretty nice, and I enjoyed conversing with the bartenders. They are also very knowledgeable about the food, so I highly recommend asking them for food recs if you're stuck. Overall, 7/10 visit.

Went in with potentially too high of expectations given the hype around this place, so hoping they had a bad night tonight and this isn’t the usual experience of customers:Fairly long strand of hair was baked into our focaccia bread. When we brought this to the attention of our waitress, she apologized and offered to bring us more bread (which they ended up charging us for). Needless to say we weren’t super eager to jump back into the bread. It’s also fairly standard practice when there is hygienic issues with the food to not charge the customer for said food, let alone also charge again for the replacement food. Two (Cacio e pepe and lasagna) of our three ordered pastas arrived cold. They seemed premade and just reheated, albeit not thoroughly.Really wanted to like this place but definitely better, fresher Italian can be found in Dallas. Likely won’t be returning or recommending.

Via Triozzi was amazing. This is not an easy reservation to get, but it's worth the effort it takes to secure one. Let's start with the staff, David was our Server, or as I like to call him, our personal guide through all things Via Triozzi. He was fantastic. Had a very firm grasp on the cocktail menu and wine list. He was also very adept at explaining the dishes. We had shown up with some ideas about what to order, but David provided additional insights that steered in some different directions. I can't say enough great things about his attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and overall care that he gave our table. I also would like to compliment Leigh Hutchinson for actually making you feel like you were eating at her house. She made multiple trips by our table to see how we were doing, and she is such a genuinely kind and awesome person, that it just added something extra to the meal. With regards to the food, it was outstanding. Our table had the Polpette, bread, Whipped Ricotta, Cacio e Pepe, the Ravioli di Zucca, the Wagyu strip steak and the deconstructed Canoli. While it was all amazing, the dishes that stole the show last night were the Whipped Ricotta, the Ravioli, the steak and deconstructed Canoli. Everything was cooked perfectly, and we could not have asked for a better experience. They are doing their part to elevate the dining options on Lower Greenville. We are already planning our next trip to Via Triozzi. Thank you David and Leigh!

The service at the bar was fantastic. The pasta was just okay. I had the cacio de Pepe. It did not taste like much and I didn't finish the entree. I also tried the ricotta which was very nice. However the meatballs were just okay as well. What I did like is the ambience and the service. Many people enjoyed their drinks. So if I went back it will be for a drink at the bar and the ricotta.

We tried to get reservations online but they were booked so we thought to just try and walk in. When we got there the staff was very nice and let us know they are completely booked but we can sit at the bar when it becomes available. We were able to get a seat and sat at the bar. The bartenders were all very nice! They are so knowledgeable with the food and bar menu. Damon was awesome! He knew so much about different drinks and made us amazing cocktails! The food was impeccable, we didn't live the salad as much bc it was too overdressed but they offered to remake it for us which was nice. The eggplant was delicious!!! The flavors were on point the arranchini was really good. We split everything and it was perfect! We had a great dinner here! If you can nab a spot here you will not be disappointed. I prefer to sit at the bar and get great cocktails from Damon and the rest of the bartenders!! Great food!!

First time at Via Triozzi and loved everything about it. The atmosphere is so well done, the staff is friendly and on top of it all, Olga was awesome. The owner/chef is out on the floor delivering amazing dishes to the tables, checking on guests and talking about why certain dishes are on the menu. The food is just incredibly done and full of flavor. Now we know why it took us a month to get a table. So worth it!

I typically don't rate anything 5 stars because everything can always be made better. But Via Triozzi? I can't think of a thing that would have improved our recent dining experience. DECOR: Made me feel like I was back in Italy). Cozy! Old world feel. NOISE: Restaurants these days we have to shout to understand each other. Not so at Via Triozzi. There were no empty seats, everyone was talking, but amazingly no one was shouting. FOOD: Magnificent, and so glad we didn't rely on the nattering nabobs of negativity in Yelp (could be they think good Italian is found in the frozen food section at Kroger?). Our food was savory, rich, and, again, made us feel like we were back in Italy. Try the Arancini appetizer. If you want seafood, order the Linguine alle Vongole. Lasagna? Order the Lasagne Al Forno which was definitely a one-of-a-kind delicacy. If you're in the mood for an authentic homemade dish, then order Nani Angie's Chicken Cacciatore. Who's Nani Angie? The owner's Sicilian grandmother. Yes, it's her recipe and my fav of the three dishes we ordered. SERVICE: Our wait person had a million dollar smile and made us feel like we were the only table she had to take care of. I'm also throwing in here the owner, her father, and her brother visited our table to make sure we were welcome and everything to our liking. Amazing. Smiles all around. We live on the edge of Dallas County, and it was a 45 minute drive for us. Definitely worth it and we agreed Via Triozzi is now our go-to, favorite Italian restaurant.

Our waitress was amazing, and the food is so good here. I went with 3 others and we got: Nani Angie's Pane Bianco (1 with anchovies and 1 without), Polpette (meatballs), Ricotta Montata for starters. Loved the whipped ricotta (just wish it came with less zucchini and more of the ricotta, also was expecting the zucchini to be warm but it's served cold), the meatballs were delicious. For entrees we got the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe (didn't love), Linguine alle Vongole (this was good), Tagliatelle al Ragù (top 2 favs) and lasagne Al forbo (top 2 fav). We finished off with the tiramisu and it was the best we have ever had!! Highly recommend. Martinis (regular and espresso) were so good as well!
