“After the hike in Seminole Canyon we found this place to eat our tiredness away. The service was really great (not overwhelming) and the staff who helped us were just so light to talked. She helped us to figure out what is good on the menu as this was our first time. The restaurant was neat and organized. It wasn’t busy time when we visited. The food was so good from chips and guacamole (where it hit the spot of taste and texture), the molcajete (solo) it was so good, filled with meats with the sides of rice and tortilla, then the flautas. Since we really enjoyed it we ordered a to go of their Enchiladas and it was really delicious. They have interesting drinks but we have 3hrs drive ahead of us but we truly enjoyed the service and food here.“
“We come to del rio every 6 months to spay and neuter pets for low cost. After a long day and a needed nap we were glad to find this place still open. They were friendly gave us free samples of chyro beans and lollipops! will be back again in 6 “
“If you're from out of town and want the real deal, this is a great option. Great art on the walls, beautiful space, and staff are all pro's. Weekday lunch was packed with all kinds. Ladies lunch and a road crew. Needless to say, better than average examples of the regional food. We loved the "tacos." Where I am from they call them taquitos, and they are half as good. These come with enough toppings you can't see the tacos beneath. Highly recommended.Kid-friendliness: My east coast five year old loved everything. She might be a little different though.“
“We didn’t eat in the restaurant but we ordered to go. And the girl that answered had great customer service and sounded friendly. I haven’t tried everything from there but I soon will. This was my first time getting food from this place. I am very picky when it comes to menudo or other foods. And I am so impressed with the menudo from here. It wasn’t so greasy or so red. They actually do put enough menudo meat and a good a mouth or harmony. I’m definitely going back and I also highly recommend this place. My father also said they were friendly as he walked in to pick up our order and he said it was a clean environment. So thank you for that everyone likes well maintained places.“
“The Viva Mexico plate was fabulous. The sign at the road was faded, broken and falling apart. The sign on the building was faded and hard to read. It was recommended to us or we would not have known it was there. Don’t let that fool you though. This place is the real deal. The photos of Pancho Villa on the walls add to the character of the place.“
“Drive thru, got the Tuesday lunch special, street food tacos, corn tortillas. By far the best tacos out of 5 other top rated taco joints (some had excellent taquitos). They walk it out to you in the front lot. Great flavorful salsa. Beans were fantastic with added peppers. I regret having it last in my list. I would have gone back.Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu with more flavor than the normal. Kids enchilada was a touch too hot for my east coast 5 yr old, but was only mild peppers. I hope they keep the excellent kids menu real.“
“Some of the very best, if not THE BEST Mexican food in Del Rio. Quick, friendly service and food that never disappoints. The menu is not overly large and everything that I have tried has been very satisfying and pleasing to the palate. Breakfast or dinner, you can not go wrong with Patty's!“
“Wow! What a wonderful surprise! The owner is very happy and friendly and makes sure you feel welcome and comfortable. The fajita street tacos were very lean and delicious! He makes the best charro beans and the rice was very good. The green salsa topped everything off nicely. I definitely recommend and definitely would make this a regular favorite if I lived locally. Thank you for a great memory of Del Rio!“
“Really nice fried fish fillet , offered on Fridays . I thoroughly enjoyed the lunch , which was my breakfast and only meal for the day . I've cut way back on the quantity of food , and types of food I eat at this point in my life . The meal cost a bit under $12 , and I tipped the waitress $5 . A good friend came in while I was there , too , so I had a nice visit as well .“
“One of the cleaning ladies recommended this place to get breakfast taco's. I'm familiar with breakfast burritos, as I lived in LA, but breakfast taco's was a new concept for me. Kinda weird cause it is practically the same; a tortilla with a filling. As I entered I was greeted by the friendly staff, and as I glanced over the menu asking your typical noob questions. Abuelita ordered the best breakfast taco for me. I was not sure one taco would take care of my appetite, so I added a carne asada taco. Well the breakfast taco surprised me and filled me up, it was quiet the breakfast. I also finished the carna asada taco. Both were great and you don't believe the price. Your set under $10, and good until lunch.Inside is a cozy and colorful area to eat inside. I got mines to go. Definitely a spot to swing by again when I'm back in town.“
“This is a well preserved historic Elks Lodge that has been transformed into a quaint restaurant with a pleasant old-home feel. The menu is a bit limited, but the food was prepared very nicely. The dishes were well served, the meals were hot and the flavor was good. Service was a bit lacking, but only because it seemed they were unprepared for a large party, and so were short-handed. Still, the server was attentive and did his best to care for everybody's needs. All-in-all it was a fine experience that was enjoyed by all.“
“Nice morning at Chintos Super Taco, we arrived and ordered, everything was fast, we didn't wait, we ordered some eggs rancheros and some eggs with chorizo, truly delicious, very rich with a very good flavor, fresh and low in salt, the attention we received was friendly and enthusiastic, its atmosphere is calm, its prices are good as is its hygiene. We will be back!“
