“This place has easily become the highlight of my time in Del Rio! I’ve been coming here almost every other day because the food is just that good. Honestly, I was halfway through my meal before I remembered to take a picture and I think that’s the best compliment you can give a restaurant. When the food is that good, you forget everything else!

The customer service is amazing. The first time I came in, we had a little bit of a language barrier, but I pulled up a photo from their Google images of the meal I wanted, and the lady immediately knew exactly what I was looking for. She got my order perfect, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I still don’t know how to pronounce the name of the dish (I think it’s “Gorditas” 😂), so now I just show them a picture if my usual server isn’t there, and everyone is always so kind and helpful. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and delicious every single visit. That’s hard to find.

I’ll genuinely miss this place when it’s time for me to head back home to Houston. If you’re in Del Rio and looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food with outstanding customer service, don’t pass this place up. It has earned a loyal customer in me!“

“I travel to Del Rio Texas every year to visit family. and We make sure we eat here at Mexico Tipico a couple times during our stay! Starting with the atmosphere, the place has a nice, relaxed vibe. The decor is warm and rustic, which fits the steakhouse theme well. It feels like the kind of place you could enjoy a long dinner with friends or family. The lighting and music were just right—not too loud, not too dim. There’s definitely effort put into making the setting feel welcoming and comfortable.
As for the food, it was just OK. Not bad, but nothing to really rave about either. The steaks were decent, but I’ve had better cuts and seasoning elsewhere. The sides were a bit underwhelming and didn’t quite stand out. It's the kind of meal you forget pretty quickly after leaving.
The biggest downside was the service. It was noticeably slow from the moment we walked in. We waited quite a while to be seated even though it wasn’t packed, and the time it took to get our food felt excessive. Our server was polite but seemed overwhelmed or possibly understaffed.
Overall, Manuel’s has potential, especially with its atmosphere, but both the food and service could use improvement to justify a return visit.“

“The decor is a bit eclectic, but there is plenty of parking and seating. I had the crispy beef tacos #4. They were delicious and came with extras like sour cream, guacamole, rice and beans. It's a solid choice for tex-mex. Fast and friendly service. Casual dining experience.“

“Went in there because the drive-thru is busy, stood for 7 minutes nobody would come up to the counter to take my order,went to the kiosk thinking that I had to use that to order. After placing my order it asks for credit card or cash I said cash. I also didn't know you had to go pay for it before they would place the order !👎“
