The first time here went in about 5:50 pm they close at 7pm, we were still served well very polite. We ordered tacos, menudo, enchiladas, chicken quesadillas. Very good food. Will try again.
I have been coming to this restaurant in Del Rio for breakfast for several years now. I'm from Austin, TX, but I frequently visit friends that do live here. While they are late morning risers, I am not, so I usually get here right around when they open at 8 AM. I always order the breakfast buffet which has pretty much all that you could want. It's also one of the only mexican breakfast restaurants that I know of that offer menudo AND barbacoa on the buffet. That makes it perfect...read full review

The Viva Mexico plate was fabulous. The sign at the road was faded, broken and falling apart. The sign on the building was faded and hard to read. It was recommended to us or we would not have known it was there. Don’t let that fool you though. This place is the real deal. The photos of Pancho Villa on the walls add to the character of the place.
