“We were in the area wanting some local food and found it. (Little bit hidden, well for those unfamiliar with the city.) It was good, ordered the special and we finished everything. We went when it was calm and quiet which we didn't mind for the long day we had. Anyways if I'm ever in the area again we will definitely go once more.“

The seasoning was spot-on, giving the meat a rich, satisfying flavor without overpowering it. What really impressed me was just how juicy the burger was. Every bite had that perfect balance of texture and flavor that’s surprisingly hard to find, even at places known for their burgers. The sides held their own too. Both the fries and onion rings were fresh, crispy, and clearly made with care. They weren’t an afterthought, which says a lot about the overall quality of the kitchen. And speaking of quality—after I finished eating, I found out that the restaurant grinds its meat in-house every morning. That little detail explains a lot about the freshness and flavor of the burger. I even tried to dig into the secrets of their burger recipe, but the staff—who were incredibly friendly, by the way—kept those details locked up tight. Still, the service added to the experience. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there, and that attitude carries over to the energy of the restaurant. After 44 years of eating burgers all over the place, I can confidently say this one ranks at the very top of my list. Between the flavorful, juicy meat, the perfectly cooked bacon, and the welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant delivers a burger experience that’s hard to beat. I’ll absolutely be back—and next time, I might come hungry enough to try more of their menu.“

“Went to Cheddars on 12/05 for my daughters 18th birthday our wait time was a bit long since we were a party of 15. I do want to thank manger Alyssa for making sure once we were seated we were comfortable and for her patience 😅 (since we getting a little hangry) (iykyk 😂) Pedro (our server) was exceptional from the start making us feel very welcoming and for being very patient with us it was one guy against 15 hungry 🤣 people lol. “I had a good experience at Denny’s restaurant on University Drive In Edinburg this morning. Samantha, our server, constantly checked on us. She always made sure to be cheerful and attentive. Cassie, a server not assigned to us, had an ever-present smile. Her smile radiated so brightly that it lit up the mood of my friend and me. These two young ladies made our visit to this place extremely pleasant. I recommend sitting at the bar. The bar is where the staff assembles to retrieve their orders. It is where you will always see smiling faces. Here is where they have more of an opportunity to face you and gift you with a kind comment or beam another bright smile in your direction.“

I like the chicken and grape sandwich on a croissant. The poblano corn soup (kinda spicy) and zucchini soup are also pretty good. “We were looking for a quaint “Mom & Pop” place for breakfast/lunch that is reasonably priced. We found it. This place is no frills but the food is excellent. The dinner rolls are huge, heavy and yeasty. The breakfast biscuits are heavy and slightly sweet. The cinnamon rolls are AMAZING!! They are as big as a dinner plate and are a meal in themselves! We ordered two to share and ended up taking one home. The coffee is good. My only “druthers” is that they do not serve real butter. I prefer real butter over whipped vegetable oil. We’ll be back!“

“I had the six once Ribeye, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. The Ribeye was super tough, potatoes were almost cold and broccoli was okay. This place was not busy but it took thirty minutes to receive our order. We let the waiter know our dissatisfaction. So the manager to replace steak with another item. I said no. She gave us a dessert instead. I was very disappointed.“

“The $25 special for two is good. The steak tasted good but had a lot of gristle. The chicken was very good. The side salads are huge! Service was also good. It took 30 minutes to get our entrée.
