Hawk's Shadow Estate Winery Reviews
We had a great time. Doug was fantastic and made us feel right at home. He also gave my little girls a glass to let them drink their water out of a “fancy glass”. 10/10 would recommend for delicious wine, great views, and an overall excellent winery.
Doug and Carol are just hands down, good people. They didn’t care that we made an impromptu stop. That we were on a budget. They treated us to top tier service. Talked to us like we didn’t usually drink Miller Lite. They shared a pour of their “refined” black label outside of the tasting we paid for. Their property is beautiful. The quiet calmed the loudest noise we brought with us from the city. Go see them. Book your event. You will not be disappointed.

The staff, including a standout named Matt, is always friendly and knowledgeable, ensuring that each tasting is special. Visitors can enjoy delicious wine, including options that are often not typical Texas wines, with many bottles worth taking home. The winery provides a fun experience for families, with staff offering glasses for water and making children feel included. The cellar tour adds to the overall experience, giving insight into the winemaking process and family history, and is available for free on request. The exceptional customer service and lovely estate make it a great addition to any winery tour. Guests can relax on the patio while enjoying breathtaking views of rolling green hills, making it feel like a retreat. With various wine tasting options, a charcuterie board, and chocolates available, there is something for everyone. The warm and accommodating staff, who even brought water for dogs on the patio, demonstrates their passion for the land and their craft. Hawk's Shadow is highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable experience in hill country.
