“On several trips to England, my wife and I fell in love with cask ale. Alas, upon our return to the states, we were bereft of options; those breweries with British styles (ESBs for example) were not committed to the cask. When we heard about Acopon, we knew that our next trip to Austin had to include a detour to Dripping Springs. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint. We had two styles of bitter, a British-style IPA, and a summer ale--all served on cask, and all the equal of many ales we had in the UK. A true treasure that every beer lover should visit.“

“I have been looking forward to trying Abby Jane, grain to table makes me so happy. We bought a donut, almond monkey bread, chocolate babka, and a sourdough loaf (pan). The pastries were amazing, it was 2:40pm and the donut was incredibly soft. The almond monkey bread was just sweet enough and I will be buying my sandwhich bread from them. My only issue was the chocolate babka was a bit dry and burned on the edges.“

“Route 12 is a great place if you are looking for family friendly, a wide variety of food choices ( everything from kids pizza to grilled chicken), while keeping it within budget. They have an outdoor splash pad for the kids and indoor dining as well. We had a party of 12 and were able to call ahead so our table was reserved and ready for us! Parking is no problem here.“

“I really liked this place! Amazing beer, especially the hazy one! Very deep dense taste, and color???… A very professional approach is felt! It is with the soul and knowledge, as well as love for their work. Using the best quality ingredients. It was like nothing to me!Despite the rainy Saturday, there was amazing live music-guitar. It was wonderful.And I also want to mention the head chef Max! An incredibly radiant person! And what delicious burgers he cooked personally and brought them to his guests! It costs so much!!! Americana ephemera - old farming stuff, 50s auto relics, vintage glass, flags - and other familiar features of a well loved bar. Varied and interesting beer selection. Locally grounded and community oriented.“

“Carmelas has got to be the longest lasting good restaurant for Drippin folks along with Thyme and Dough. Consistently great food and service. It goes unnoticed I think because of its location on a small strip of spaces shared with a gas station/convenience store. Family owned. At the corner of RR12 and Hamilton Pool. We have never been dissapointed with their food, desserts, drinks and wine selection.“

“Had dinner at Homespun last night. Our first time there. It was WONDERFUL! The CF Steak & CF Chicken were absoultely delicious. Prices were reasonable. My only disappointment was that the veggie side dish servings were quite small. Otherwise, a wonderful meal. Servers were very courteous and knowledgeable. Can't wait to visit Homespun again.“

“Please don’t get me wrong, the waitress was wonderful, and I’m sure the food is great—I haven’t had a chance to eat mine yet since I ordered it to go. I stopped in with my son and a friend to grab my food to go because I had to get to work, while my son and my friend ate there. I didn’t get my to-go burger until the very end of their meal, which made me late for work. When I brought it up to the manager, his response was maybe you should call it in next time and then turned his back on me and walked away. Oh no, you did not just say that! This manager is doing a huge disservice to the restaurant and leaving a bad taste in people’s mouths. Like I said, the waitress was sweet as can be, and I’m hoping the burger is as good as I’ve been told, but the manager does not need to be interacting with customers at all. Until he is gone or his customer service attitude changes, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. The audacity and rudeness he showed from the time I arrived until I left blows my mind. I work in the service industry myself, and I would never even think about talking to someone that way, especially a customer who is supporting my establishment.“

She went above & beyond explaining the property & showered us with her passion of this historical landmark.
