“We had a great time today, an Awesome start for my birthday week at a Line Dance Day Party Hosted by 1540 Bar & Grill. The owner and his staff was awesome and the food was off the chain 🥳🎉🎈“

“We walked in to pick up a to go order and were warmly greeted. The server was kind to share some of the restaurant history and asked for a review, which as business owners, we like to oblige and want to help other businesses. He threw in a mango lassi with our order, which was not expected and SO delicious. All of our food was AMAZING and enough to have for lunch the next day. We ordered garlic naan, Gobi 65, Malabar with beef and veggies, chicken and lamb biryani.“

“Drove all night and was starving, and found this place was open late. We arrived late not knowing when the kitchen was shutting down.

The waitress politely told us we could only order fried food. It was a bummer but we understood and was going to quickly put in our order for what food we could get.

While we were looking at the menu our waitress came back and said if we ordered now he would make whatever we wanted from the menu. We immediately got excited and placed our orders for burgers.

Thank you so much to the cooks who were gracious enough to feed some starving travelers!!

All of the food was delicious and completely hit the spot, and the bartender made a fantastic liquid marijuana.

Also the music in there was hitting. All great all around, will be back for sure.“

“Excellent meal everybody enjoyed there meal with water free . Only place in Torquay to provide free water. It's a big meal a little water helped me get though it. A coffee finished me but others enjoyed a alcohol with there meal. We left nothing we had a fresh meal not McDonald's job . It was the real deal. Thanks to the family and there friendly staff. They were busy but they didn't forget us. We can't recommend the place higher. It may pay to book as this place can be busy. I see why. 25 dollars buy you a real meal. Not a value meal deal from McDonald's.“

“Got the wings and the catfish po'boy.
The wings were average. Normal bar wings, not anything special, overpriced a few dollars.
The po'boy however was an absolute delight. Crisp, fresh, well seasoned and slathered.
Service was great with both bartenders introducing themselves and being attentive to every patron“

“I may be biased, because I've worked here since September. I have to say this is the best place to go to or work. The environment is phenomenal and they really genuinely care. I just had my dad's memorial there and they went above and beyond. We love them like family. They run the place perfectly.“

“Good neighborhood hole in the wall. DJ Playing all kinds of music. Live Tejano/Spanish type music on Saturdays. Very casual dress code. Bring your own liquor bottle as they only serve beer and set ups. Need about 1 or 2 more restrooms. Front patio. Clientele is more of the blue collar type of people. Not to bad of a place. Hardly ever any drama there since the crowd is mostly 35 and up.“

I subbed out my Texas burger patty for a turkey patty and it still had good flavor. Subbed regular fries for sweet potato fries for a small upcharge.“

Although the staff was friendly during my visit for dinner, the wait time of one hour for reheated frozen and canned food was excessive. “They closed down and revamped the interior a little. What is awesome is the food is still great! They added a few items on the menu. The consistency of good service is a 4 out of 5. Although I mainly order to-go. My favorites are the: Avocado Chicken Quesadilla, Chicken Fried Steak, Pasta Verde with grilled chicken and California wrap. Dessert: Bread Pudding Amaretto Liqueur!!!“
