“We walked in to pick up a to go order and were warmly greeted. The server was kind to share some of the restaurant history and asked for a review, which as business owners, we like to oblige and want to help other businesses. He threw in a mango lassi with our order, which was not expected and SO delicious. All of our food was AMAZING and enough to have for lunch the next day. We ordered garlic naan, Gobi 65, Malabar with beef and veggies, chicken and lamb biryani.“

“Don't let the look of the place concern you. This is a classic, no-frills restaurant that has a made-to-order scratch kitchen, and a very complete menu including adult beverages. Great food, great service. The ambiance is that of a classic diner, which fits the place perfectly.

“Fantastic experience here. Good vibes, good food, and great times. Was visiting for the day and went twice! Joe and Lettice are the reason you want to go. You can tell they love working there and that energy is contagious. Such great personalities and awesome service. Tried the cheese curds and they were a hit. I loved that anyone would feel comfortable going, the vibe is just welcoming and a great time. Hardwood Tavern is the kind of bar you’ll want to keep to yourself—but it’s too good not to share. Will definitely return any time I’m in town! Loved it!!“

“I may be biased, because I've worked here since September. I have to say this is the best place to go to or work. The environment is phenomenal and they really genuinely care. I just had my dad's memorial there and they went above and beyond. We love them like family. They run the place perfectly.“
“The lady that made my drink let me try the Liquid Marijuana and it was amazing. I don't even drink alcohol like that and I could barely taste the vodka in it and my wife had a Margarita/hypnotic mix that was pretty nice and I told the server that I was going home to blow my wife's back out too and that's exactly what I did too ???. I'll be back.“

“Good neighborhood hole in the wall. DJ Playing all kinds of music. Live Tejano/Spanish type music on Saturdays. Very casual dress code. Bring your own liquor bottle as they only serve beer and set ups. Need about 1 or 2 more restrooms. Front patio. Clientele is more of the blue collar type of people. Not to bad of a place. Hardly ever any drama there since the crowd is mostly 35 and up.“

“Great food and drinks. The meatloaf mountain and the buffalo mac and cheese is good. Ashley the bartender was great and kept the good vibes going. Now the not so good things. There was a city of Dallas rep that came in to take pictures. She yelled at Ashley demanding to speak with the owner. She also began to take pics of the building. Then later another inspector came in to speak with staff. Whatever repairs need the be done please do them asap. Their presence wasn't an enjoyable idea experience. I think the inspector was named Shirley. Other than that, it's a very nice lil spot and I will be returning.“
“This place has a great environment. Always drama free. The owners Mrs Kathy & Mr Carl always treat everyone with so much love & respect. Great music, Pool Tables, dominos etc. If you're looking for a great old school vibe this is the spot for you.“

“With immense potential, this place could easily exceed expectations. The overall setup left me impressed. Although the staff was friendly during my visit for dinner, the wait time of one hour for reheated frozen and canned food was excessive. I anticipated more from the venue itself, and unfortunately, it didn't leave a lasting impression. If you ever aspire to achieve greatness, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.“

“Awesome atmosphere, great service, food was pretty good, beer is lacking.
Not really any local brews aside from deep ellum and they dont really count as local anymore. I think they only had one ipa option. Other then that the place is great!“
