“We live out of town but frequently travel to Abilene, and honestly, we have no idea why we hadn’t tried Jay’s before now. We love good BBQ, and what we found at Jay’s was nothing short of phenomenal. Hands down, this is some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had. The brisket and OG sausage weren’t just delicious—they were an experience. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor, and we can’t wait to come back again and again!”

“We stopped by during a vacation in Abilene. It has the yummiest coffee + best atmosphere inside and out! We were able to go out to a grassy area for our children to play while we enjoyed delicious coffee! They even explained the menu and helped me pick, it was perfect!”

“From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. The staff were friendly & helpful. We explained it was our first time, so they walked us through the menu & explained everything is cooked to order, so it might take a few minutes to come out. She also explained that there were free peanuts we could munch on while waiting for our food. The food came out hot, fresh & delicious. You could tell the staff loved their jobs. We were visited by the lady who took our order and another gentleman who wanted to make sure we were happy. The prices were unbelievably affordable at just under $6, I believe, I got the Queso burger, which they gave me a knife & fork to eat with because there was so much queso on it. We don't live in town, but when we are in the area, we will go out of the way to eat here.”

“I guess this is a good problem to have but they served waaay too much chicken/meat on the gyro and it got soggy so I wasn’t able to eat it with my hands. 🤣 I’d give it 9/10 for taste considering it is Abilene. Baklava was delicious but a little too sweet for my liking but I still ate the last crumb. The server threw out the trash and the bag left a huge trail of trash water which was really nasty considering we and other guests were still eating. It wasn’t even closing time, more like 2pm. I suggest they move the trash towards the back or have like a bin with wheels so it could be rolled to the back. They didn’t have plastic spoons which I thought was odd.”

“Absolutely Amazing Experience Tuscola Restaurant! Wish I had taken pictures of our food—it looked and tasted incredible! We sent our roofing crew to eat here first, and they enjoyed it so much that we decided to go ourselves shortly after. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent. Both the waiter and waitress were extremely helpful and attentive. Our waitress, especially, was such a joy—wish I could remember her name! The food was absolutely delicious. Even the chips and salsa were outstanding! We also noticed how well the staff managed their tables—everything was handled quickly, and drink refills came without us even having to ask. That kind of service really stands out. Goat Ridge Roofing wants to give a big thank-you to the staff for taking such great care of us today. We will definitely be back, and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and even better service!”

“We often walk our dogs at Allen Ridge and stop for lunch at Cork & Pig. We sit in the outdoor patio and enjoy the scenery while also enjoying our favorite pizza. Nicole is our requested server and she is the best. We also enjoy dinner there and the food is wonderful, we have never been disappointed. The wait staff are great and accommodating. We are retired so enjoy eating out often, Cork & Pig is at the top of our list.”

Everything we have tried is packed with flavor and something a little bit different than other pizza places. I also really appreciate that they have new things to try on their menu every week. “Delicious food and quick. Build your own burritos and tacos. Street tacos. Food was fantastic. As a first-timer I didn’t know that when I ordered tacos I had to specify everything I wanted on it, so they came out meat only with pico. But they were still fantastic.”
