An El Paso lovers' favorite! Best sweet bread in town! Definitely worth a detour if you live anywhere besides South Central, and most El Pasoans do. Just know that the later you stop by, the more limited your options will be. Chocolate donuts, empanadas, sugar cookies and conchas. Hands down, the best!
I love the smell when i walked into here, and the amount of options you have throughout the day for pastries, flan, doughnuts, brownies, macaroons, canolies, conchas, etc is remarkable. The only thing i would say kinda dampens the enjoyment is the ingredient abundance on some of there items. Such as the apple fritters. Going to Bowie bakery has been a tradition I’ve had since a kid and wanted to continue with my little ones but the quality of bread keeps decreasing and the nostalgic flavors of their beautiful selection is just not there anymore. Sad to stop going but they had a good run.
