Panera Bread in El Paso

“Nice, new, clean facility. Friendly service. I've eaten at Panera at other Texas locations, Baton Rouge, Florida. Always good. El Paso is a very dry desert. You have to make adjustments to leaving your bakery and bread products exposed to the dry air here because the air is so dry that baked good start to harden in minutes. If you notice, mexican bakeries cool them, then place them in a plastic bag with very small opening to allow the goods to stay fresh but not dry out. We had to tear off the hard parts to eat our sandwiches. Soup was excellent. Cookies except the kitchen sink cookie were already hardening. Hope you address this quickly. Thanks.“

“I recommend going to this place. I went with my family, and they have a very varied menu. The prices are reasonable for a group of four. I highly recommend the soups if you don’t want to order a protein—they are very filling.“

“Tried Panera bread for the first time. It was delicious. The service was even better. They were very welcoming, recommended options and ultimately we were highly satisfied. Alenah And Lynette were very kind and made our whole experience worth giving it a try. The manager Juan even provided the whole dining area with samples of cookies and brownies and we were able to give both a try. As we were leaving they held the door open and welcomed us to come back anytime. We will be back and look forward to trying your seasonal soups coming this fall. Thank you for an amazing lunch. We ordered the Toasted Frontega Chicken with a baguette and broccoli and cheese soup and the Toasted Caprese Focaccia with bistro French onion soup and chips. They have a papaya green tea that was lightly sweetened and very refreshing.“

“UPDATE: This restaurant has improved significantly since my first visit. Food is prepared hot and quickly, and my orders have been correct. Well done! Keep up the great work!

I placed a pick-up order through the app and was notified that it wouldn't be available until an hour later. No big deal, since the place is new and pretty busy. However, when I showed up to pick up my order, it was not ready. I doubt it was even received on their side, and it took a while for the employees to acknowledge me. I showed my emailed receipt to one of the managers, who politely apologized and proceeded to retrieve my coffee that I had ordered. But I was still missing the other half of my order, which consisted of a bagel and cream cheese. I had to go back to the counter and show my receipt again to two more employees, for someone to get the rest of my order. When I got back to my office, I discovered that the cream cheese was missing. By that point, I had wasted almost an hour there trying to get my order overall. I didn't bother to go back, as I needed to get my work done. I hope this place gets better soon, seeing that there is plenty of room for improvement. It shouldn't take two hours (one hour order, and one hour pick-up) to get coffee, a bagel, and cream cheese. Needless to say, I think I'll refrain from returning to this location until it gets more organized and better staff training is carried out.“
