We decided to hit this place up for Gordita night, which is every Wednesday. The brisket gorditas were very delish along with the beans and rice. I have to say I know it's only Mexican rice, but theirs is much better than others I've tried around El Paso. The tostadas arrived crispy and warm with salsa. We had no wait for our table and the service was excellent. They also serve sopapillas, which we devoured.
The feee tostadas were stale, the salsa was spicy but lacked a thicker texture, was just too runny for me but good flavor. Tasted the Faldo de res and was really good. Almost put my moms to shame. Rice was cooked properly and not under done or mushy. Beans were awesome with the Munster cheese melted on top. I had the brisket tacos and unfortunately the meat was dry and all came out with one bite. Went on a Sunday and they have specials everyday of the week. Attentive staff.

Lunch special for $7.50. Red enchiladas or tacos. Includes soup and an iced tea. Caldo de res was great! Enchiladas were ok. Also $1 gorditas, tried the bean and cheese and the Piccadillo. They were also ok. Table salsa was very spicy. Would like to see this mom and pop place succeed. Abuela was bussing tables. Steady stream of people during lunch hour.
