RIP to the Sumo Sushi we once knew. It looks like thev've changed owners and EVERYTHING tastes different. The miso soup is not the same literally just hot water with pieces of tofu and onions, no flavor whatsoever. Defiantlv not the miso soup I'm used to having. The fried rice and cruncy roll have no taste, everything is bland. My husband ordered his usual teriyaki chicken with mushrooms bento box and the chicken is different. So disappointing because my family and I have been coming here for over 19 years. And now we must find a new Japanese restaurant.

Service was good, but food was subpar. We ordered the Godzilla role and katsudon. The katsudon was oily and the rice was soggy, it wasn’t appetizing to eat or even look at. The Godzilla role was average, the fried part overpowered the other ingredients.

The best Sushi in El Paso! Have been coming here at least since 2012 and it never disappoints.

just love. I totally recommend coming on weekdays instead of weekends. Cheaper, you get more attention from servers, cause on weekends things can get hectic for staff and you can’t really blame them. The food is just amazing though, in love!!

I'm giving it a 3.0 just because I've had high hopes since moving to El Paso on finding good sushi. This place has excellent reviews, so I finally tried it, and it's pretty and a quiet environment inside, but the sushi is just average. I was so disappointed. Also, there was a dad in there who had a portable electric razor cutting his kids' hair while the family ate, then they left. That kinda caught me off guard. Weird right.

The restaurant is spacious with booth, table, and bar seating, depending on what you're looking for. They have an appetizer menu, drink menu, sashimi, noodles, and sushi menu. A wide variety that is vegetarian friendly. After I placed my order, the food was ready within 10-15 minutes and was delicious. I would recommend taking friends and family to this location.

My boyfriend and I came in on a Friday night about 2 hours before close. We were seated quickly, server asked for our drinks and then forgot us. After about 15 minutes someone else came to ask for our drink order (soda and a water) and brought it out pretty fast. We sat there for another 25 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. 2 families of 4+ came in after us, and their orders were taken/drinks came out quickly. The servers seemed to be more interested in helping the larger parties. After 25 minutes of no one taking our order, we just left money on the table for the drinks and walked out.I was pretty bummed because the food looked good too ??? maybe another day.

We ordered the ramen and it was tasteless and the grill fried rice with chicken and mushrooms was burned and had an after taste.
