“I decided to try this Jack in the Box location in Elsa today. When I drove up, it was dark, and the signs were not lit up, but they were open.There is plenty of parking, though not well lit.There were some cars in the drive-through, but the dining room was empty when I walked in. No one was at the counter, but I could hear workers in the back. It did not take long before someone came to take my order.I noticed the dining room was clean, though the counter and drink areas could have been neater. The wait was longer than usual as they were busy with the drive-through customers. I wondered if they were short-handed.My order finally was ready. I checked it, and one item was missing. I brought that to the manager's attention, and he quickly brought it over. They did accurately fill the three burgers which had special requests (no mustard or pickles).The quality of the food was standard for Jacks, the fries freshly made.While they could improve in some areas, overall my experience was positive. I always recommend double-checking the order.“
“My new go to!! Tried the ribeye tacos, corn, burger, and spiropapa, and everything was excellent. Not only was the food great, the customer service was even better. Friendly staff and tasty food will have us going back for as long as they keep it up! I hope to see this establishment succeed and expand!“

“Loved the food there was so much flavor the beans were amazing the tacos were perfect the tortillas were perfect and soft it was a bit of a wait but totally worth it in my opinion I got the street tacos and my girlfriend got the quesadilla the meat is perfect not too greasy done just right for the price that they sell it at definitely worth it a must try for take out in my opinion“
“Taco Madre is so affordable and very well kept I do love there tacos and lonches aswell as the variety of agua frescas they provide in store for a very reasonable price! There pricing is very well and surpasses all the other nearby locations there food is superior to all other in town locations and I do hope you can come down to Mercedes and give them a try!!Five Stars across the board!!? ? ? ? ?“
“The perfect little taco and Lonches place. If my mom could cook, I would wish she would cook like that. If we lived here we would go eat at least a few times a week. Prices were on point, their meats were great and the Lonches were my favorite thing we have eaten while we have been in south Texas. Please never lose the charm and flavor.“
“Had the bistec tacos with a cup of beans on the side. Both were fantastic! Nice, small tacos that are easy to handle. Generous proportions. Decided last minute to get a side of fries too and they were definitely fresh, homemade fries. Service was A+ very attentive and friendly. Will be back.“

“What to say! this place reminds me of when my family and i would head over to the drive in movie theatre in Mercedes. We would stop at anna's to get dinner along the way from the house.that's when i was only 14 or 15 I'm now 32 years old and still go and just took my son their last night and she was great, along with the food.“

“Tacos are great, but for some reason they're not consistent. That's why I don't give them 5 stars. I invited family and friends and for what ever reason the meat had no season , and they kept getting the toppings wrong. But other nights they are very good“
“First time going yesterday. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our burgers were great and were made with the extra products we wanted. Their hotdogs especiales were delicious. The wait time was a bit long but it's understandable as their food is made fresh! Worth the wait, I will definitely be going again!“
“Much better than chattos tacos. I paid $10.38 for a combo, (paid w debit card) coke, tacos, charro beans and baked potato, I noticed that meat has a better flavor than chattos, it just feels like better quality and flavor, beans actually have flavor, tortilla is not soaked in grease it's just the right amount of oil. But charro beans are very good, thank you for adding spices and tomatoe flavor not only water lol!“
